Remember Karan Johar asking Alia or Parineeti, the brighter future?, to every guest on his Koffee with Karan?🤔

Parineeti started off with a bang with 3 hit YRF ventures: Ladies vs Ricky Behl, Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance.👏

She NEVER seemed like a typical, one-dimensional, polished product churned out from YRF.Between 2012-2013, she was everywhere in the limelight because,

A) She was Priyanka Chopra's sister.
B) She really stood out from other young actresses at that time.👍🏼

For starters, she DID NOT do flower pot roles like Sonakshi and DID NOT make her debut with big actors.👍🏼
Ranveer was a nobody in 2011, and Arjun / Sushant literally made their debut with her.😆

She seemed so promising back then and I liked her so much, but I don't know what happened later?👎🏼

Now in 2018, Alia is almost a superstar and in a league of her own while Parineeti is nowhere to be seen.😲

The sabbatical she took from acting to become "fit" did not help her career either.🤓
Its obvious Alia is way ahead of her right now, AND I don't see Parineeti bouncing back anytime soon.🥱🥱

her acting...W*F happened to her craft

the girl who acted so well in her 1st 3 movies..how can she be so mechanical and one dimensional in MPB and Golmaal 4

she has totally let her own craft die and also rejected some good movies like piku to get fit and be lost in the crowd instead. Shame!!

I agree. Bad film choices definitely ruined her career.

I believe the dynamics changed somewhere in 2014 when Parineeti delivered 3 back to back flops Hasee Toh Phasee, Daawat-e-shq & Kill Dil, 🥱
while Alia worked in Highway, 2 States and Humpty Sharma.😉

I also think Alia was more into limelight because of her off-screen popularity and general fan-following.

Even those "Alia Bhatt" trolls did her favor in keeping her relevant, and she fought her way back with impactful performances in films like Udta Punjab.👏

i will still say that as an artist, Parineeti has more potential and talent. She just hasnt been smart with her choices. Sadly there is no KJO supporting her either.

The character she played in her first three film is almost like her real life persona. She was young and bubly without being irritating. A bindaas girl.

As age caught up, she is no longer that fun person as she might have been when she joined the industry. Moreover since she began trying new roles which werent loud she couldnt act and failed.

Alia started her character playing a fashionista but adapted to all other characters she could get her hands on and sincerely portrayed them, honing her craft.

KillDil and DEI ruined her career, and when Alia was busy working in as many movies as she could, Parineeti took a break. 3 years is too long for anyone to just be off the map, even superstars don't take such long breaks.
And yes, she has no one guiding her unlike Alia - KJo is a great mentor who is really invested in Alia's career and gets her the best, unlike AdiC who couldn't care less.

Highway happened. And she got shook. She took an almost 3-year break and came back with films like Golmaal. Ew.

She should've accepted Piku which was offered to her in 2015. She was shortlisted for Sultan in 2016. Meri Pyaari Bindu in 2017 would've been a nice continuation in her Filmography. But she wanted a "hit" so she did that awful 4th instalment franchise. Now she's gearing up for 2 back-to-back ventures with the one and only Arjun Kapoor. No gurl no.

(by the way I adore her, and I'm still rooting for her, I can't wait for her film with Dibakar Bannerjee)

Overexposure and doing same type of roles. Same happened to Sonakshi.

Aditya Chopra happened...he ruined Pari and Vani's careers and almost had ruined Shradha's and Sushant 's before they showed some guts and ran off from YRF.
