Huh, Mahir is a gem of a person?
Okay. He did stand there doing nothing when his bro killed, and he should have stopped his bro's antics, but he never says anything to him, and always cover up for him,and convinces people to adjust with his bro's nonsense. What did Mr good human being did, when Vikrant was killed? Stand there, and forget it the next second, then walk around with a microphone as if he is the center of the world, and act as if nothing happened. He also married a girl without her consent(lets see) and he is equally wrong as Yuvi and deserves to be punished.

I agree that Mahir was wrong in hiding the truth from Bela. But other than that, what wrong did he do? He was not present when Yuvi and friends assaulted Ruhi and killed Vikrant. He came after Vikrant got shot and fell down. He never saw or found out what happened there. Even when he repeatedly questioned Yuvi and friends, they kept denying and lied to him. He didn't force Bela to marry him. He came and sat in the mandap to save his family's reputation and fulfill his promise to Bela. He let her go when she found out the truth. It was Sumitra who convinced Bela to come back and get married. Mahir's only mistakes were that he hid the truth from Bela and kept covering up Yuvi's mistakes. But that doesn't make him wrong. He did kept trying to put some sense into Yuvi. He was doing what a son, a brother and a friend would do. Please go and watch the first episode again instead assuming things and making stuff up to fit your narrative.
He knew his bro did a lot of blunders but he never did something concrete to stop himHe perfectly knew Vikrant did died, he was a mere bystander that did not do anything. But this logic, only Yuvi and those who assaulted Ruhi are culprits, those who assisted to the show should go Scott free? I feel Mahir has his share, and he was wrong too. You see someone died, and do not do anything? Not even police, nothing? and he doesnt seem like he remembers.@underline: I think you should stop whitewashing him, because he is at fault here.About bold part, I think you are beating around the bush a lot, I do not buy this saving reputation argument. He sat there, and if Bela didnt see his face, she would have married her thinking its Yuvi. He betrayed her. Either you betray someone, either you dont. There is nothing in between. And also about his promise to Bela, Bela didnt go and tell him to marry her. He is a lame person who used the saving reputation card and didnt care about Bela's consent. In indian shows, where mostly love starts with forced marriages, I acknowledge the fact that they do not value a girls' consent, but I would never normalize it, and hold it onto Mahir, because in my view, he was wrong. He seem just like his bro according to me, disrespecting women.Telling Bela to adjust with Yuvi nonsense behaviour by saying a stupid argument that Yuvi loves Bela and (she should be grateful?? that he loves you ( even if he hits on other girls) Pathetic. It was a pleasure debating with you, I do not have anything more to add, he is just the regular matho so called hero who is supposed to have a gold of heart(but doesn't even though cvs will force things to make him look one). After he is the hero of the show, so all his actions are justified. But nope for me, they are glorifying Mahir Mr perfect a bit too much.

Alright I am ready to accept that he was wrong in sitting in the mandap instead of Yuvi and trying to marry Bela. He should have told her the truth and let her decide what she want to do since it was about her life. Also Bela was completely aware of Yuvi's philandering ways. She chose to ignore it at first for her the sake of her father and his money issues. So it's not like Bela was some bholi bhali abla naari who was tricked by the Sehgals into marrying their playboy son.And for the last time, Mahir was completely unaware of what happened to Vikrant and Ruhi. He came there AFTER Vikrant was shot and fell down from the cliff. By the time he reached the spot, neither Ruhi nor Vikrant were present there. Even then he questioned them about what happened there. All of them lied to his face and convinced him that they killed a snake. So STOP blaming him for something he did not do. I am not trying to whitewash him. I agreed that he was wrong to hide the truth from Bela. But it's you who's trying to make him into something he is not. It was nice arguing with you too. Next time do watch the episode before coming to a conclusion.
Maybe I didnt choose my words well but i DID watch the episode but it just doesn't make sense. Despite knowing his bro antics, he believed them, and did nothing, very fishy. Of course, the degree of wrong would vary.
Great so we agreed on one thing. Good! The,n, if you agreed he was wrong in tricking Bela, how can he be a gem of a person?

M is very fishy and mysterious so it is far fetched to say he is the gem of a person when nothing much have been revealedOriginally posted by: janecastle
@bold- I was simply referring to his actions after the wedding. He was trying his best to make her comfortable and make amends for his mistakes. In the usual serials, you would see the male lead blaming the girl for no mistake of hers and then the unwanted "pinning the wall" romance. That's what I was saying. Not that he's some devta who can't commit any mistakes.
