Trying to forget Naamkarann thinking it was just another fictional show, but every now n then, some things happen that remind me of Naamkarann.
TRP wise, God knows what Star Plus has achieved by replacing NK with KCL. Every week when the TRP is released, I m left wondering what if NK existed now! If not a huge gain, it certainly wouldn't cause any loss to the channel. N more than TRP, the show had created a good impression of the channel worldwide, something I don't think this show can ever. They went for a complete revamp n have brought on board 2 shows with poor poor poor TRPs by removing one completely n changing the time slot of the other which used to bring them the highest ratings in that slot. What did Star Plus gain from this revamp except for a new white theme?🤓

While trying to watch the pukeworthy YHM these days, I realise the strongest love Star Plus has for this word "Najaayaz". If they so never wanted to get rid of this subject, y did they pull off the show that was completely established on this very theme? Adding to that, in Naamkarann, we indeed felt that Najaayaz isn't a gaali, because though Avni was born out of wedlock, she did born out of purest of love...not some EMA or infidelity. How do these stupids think that the dialogue that worked for Avni shall work for the unborn kid of a desperate mistress? How do these fool believe that the sympathy that viewers felt for little Avni or Ayesha for that matter, can be generated for a homewrecker? N that makes me miss Naamkarann again. It indeed was a good thought about the najaayaz concept. Though we were terribly bored of Avni's najaayaz chants, I would have any preferred this concept in Naamkarann over that in yhm for the love of star plus for this word!😵

After NK ended, started watching Bepannaah at that time slot. N I could love that show n the actors too only because I put everything about NK out of my mind while watching it. Though I totally understand that the two characters r thoroughly different n hence shouldn't be compared, but Avni has really set the bars really high! Whenever Zoya happens to be in some danger n I see the fans hoping to see Adi saving her, I go back to the days when Avni used to be in some trouble n we would hope to see Avni being her own savior rather than waiting for her guy n to see Aditi beating the goons black n blue! I totally love that show the way it is n needless to mention the actors are outstanding, but when it comes to a princess like female lead character, I can't help but miss our lady don!

When the Gold Awards happened, I too was disappointed to see AdiZa being left out, in spite of very well knowing what kind of a sweets distribution ceremony it is. I missed them when we saw all other actors all glamorous on the gold carpet. But now when I see the controversies happening due to IB leads talking shit about the very award show that got them such prestigious awards, I feel glad that AdiZa weren't a part of this stupidity. They might not receive any awards but the respect they have even for the awards that they get in the form of fans' love is really very unique. When I see these other actors boasting about these rigged awards, I miss simple AdiZa n their conduct n I again wish, what if NK still existed, these 2 gems n the show would again stand out bright!!⭐️

More than a month has been over...still can't completely move on even after trying honestly! Even after embracing the other shows with pure love, can't stop comparing with NK! I miss Naamkarann, I miss AvNeil, I miss AdiZa and I miss this unique fandom n its views!!!🤔

Nk was a perfect package. PERIOD. Beginning from the cast, story, direction, cinematography, music and everything about the show except for the not-so-grand sets and repeated costumes eveeything was soo good! Such chemistry and good looking leads who know to emote and act well is a rare combination to find and it will defintely take us ages to find a new pair like this, ofcourse such a show too

Sp's revamp is defintely is a bad decision. Actually it hasn't worked is the fact! Shifting yhm to a late night slot, retaining shows which doesn't even bring them trp of 1, bringing new shows which didn't even evoke an 0.1% interest in the audience and moreover their rebranding that looks no good😕 There is nothing to watch on sp these days. Yrkkh is the only thing which is okay, rest is now bad. Even Yrkkh's leap hasn't brought them huge numbers😕 Inshort Sp's business team doesn't know what to do.

I feel bad seeing nk not there, but the story after 10 years leap went soo downhill is a fact that we can't deny. It was soo bad that many of us wanted the show to end so that they couldn't showcase the negativity and yea politics behind the curtains definitely lead to its end😆

Gold awards..we definitely would have seen Zain on the red carpet but not Aditi so i guess it is okay that they are not in that awards😆 or else there will be a hungama in the fd😆. But winning such awards and been a part of it is essential for their careers. I hope Aditi and Zain gets recognition in other award ceremonies😊

We will all move on one day..and that is how life works..😒

The only reason I miss NK is because I miss AdiZa's interviews in the olvs. Otherwise I was fed up with NK's story as cvs and sp were damaging it with every passing episode.
As far as other shows are concerned I didn't try to watch any of them , current ITV shows are pure waste of time

@Dragon:-
Current ITV shows is a waste of time...so true
I miss ADIZA more than naamkaran
Precisely I miss Aditi more than Zain
Her laughter😊 is a bliss
Honestly we all are missing AVNEIL n ADIZA more than naamkaran😆
I am glad that aditi rejected drashti's role in silsila
Can't able to watch that character even for 5 minutes

@IF Love:-
Today while changing the channels ,I saw a scene in kaho naa pyaar hai movie in which hritik roshan digs a flag into the sand in a beach where he n heroine are present
The heroine asks why are you putting this flag here.
All these dialogues of them reminded me our AVNEIL first meet scene at beach
When I was watching a Telugu movie baghamathi the role of heroine is an IAS officer who has been jailed due to some plotting against her.Later she defeats MLA who plotted against her and comes out.That movie reminded me of Avni's jail track n Avni-vidyut tashan.I feel if aditi was the heroine ,she could have enacted it like a badass

All I could imagine aditi in that heroine's place
Everything around me reminds of AVNEIL,adiza
More precisely aditi

I completely agree with you. I have so much to say about this. Let me begin by saying that Naamkarann was a show with an extremely unique concept. It talked about a lot of concepts which are still considered taboo in indian society today (such as the word "naajayaz"). It raised important questions and forced us to ask why a person should be blamed for the circumstances in which they were born. Forget being illegitimate, our society today is still very much biased based on religion, caste and race. So this show was, in many ways, an eye-opener for our society.

If we move away from the conceptual side of naamkaran to the characters themselves, we see that the show holds even more depth. Avni Ayesha was a person who knew how to fight her own battles. She didn't need a superman to come and save her at every moment like we usually see in indian shows. She was strong and independent. And as Neil says in the end..Avni was already complete without having a man in her life..she was her own identity..and she didn't need her father's surname to identify herself. Avni is what every young woman should strive to be. Gone are those "damsel in distress" days. No one wants to see that anymore. We want to see strong characterization of female leads who do more than just sit at home, accept taunts from their in-laws and cook. And Avni Ayesha was the perfect female lead. She is an inspiration and will always be.

Moving on to Neil..I think this is the only show wherein I have actually felt jealous of the female lead because she had a man like Neil by her side. 😆 From day one Neil has always supported her. He always had her back, whether she needed it or not. He stands up for what's right and he was willing and able to go against his family to support Avni. I really do believe that Neil has set the bar in all aspects of what a man should be...whether it be as a son, a friend, a lover or a husband.

What saddens me the most is that such a brilliant show, with such fabulous actors, story and characters was replaced by a ridiculous show like KCL which is, might I say, the polar opposite of this - a useless male lead and an even more useless plot with zero depth. It's actually quite embarrassing.

I have cut all the post-leap episodes from my mind. In my opinion, that was not a true representation of what our Naamkaran was. They butchered the storyline and the characters so brutally that it was almost a different show altogether. For me, Naamkaran ended with AvNeil's suhagraat😳

The very fact that we all come here and still post and make comments proves none of as have moved on from NK and I don't think I ever will it will always hold a special place because of the fabulous actors and the unforgettable characters and most importantly it's the 1st show which made me join IF and met such amazing beautiful people that I can call friends.

Even I don't watch any ITV shows it's just horrible acting everywhere and stories are utter torture sticking to Netflix as of now till KKK since I like that show

I miss NK every time I open insta or twitter it was so exciting to wait for some spoilers and come and discuss the same and come up with crazy explanations i wish that stupid leap never happened and they took a different route keeping Neela ma alive things would have really worked for NK post Ipl only if SP was smart enough to recognize the gem NK was for them pathetic channel never valued the show and the amazing talent.
I don't think AvNeil can ever be recreated.
