Are Chongqing women helpful in general?

I'll be migrating to Chongqing, China in a few months for work and the company paired me up with a few Chongqing women as my roommates/tour guides whom are all apart of the branch in the city. I've never tried having roommates before so I'm not so sure if I'll be able to trust them with any concerns I have and while my Chinese still needs work, I want to know if women in Chongqing are generally helpful or trustworthy? I hear a lot of negative comments about Chinese people in general but I don't want to immediately assume they're all like that. Can someone help me out? I could really use some advice.
