Just wondering why the president is suddenly tweeting about this?
Interesting timing, considering Porus is on air.

Now this is fascinating. The President's speechwriter is clearly not bothered about the little point that Alexander the Great was not Greek but Macedonian!
In those days, the Greeks would have been outraged at a Macedonian"barbarian" being called Greek, but today they are fighting with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to claim him!

Spot on Aunty ! The tension is still very much present as the Greece government recently claimed that they want to give the name of Macedonia to one of their cities and thus compelling the country to change it's name. It's totally unfair though 😕

look Bulgaria albania has their claim on Alexander too ...Olympia was Albanian ...Philip some say was from Bulgaria (Russia supports this theory ) But Alexander in his every dialogue (written by Greek writers) claimed himself as Macedonians...but his letter to darius and Egypt pharaoh says that he wanted to avenge all the attrocities done on Greece...also famous dialogue for the freedom of Greece and glory of Macedonia during battle of gugemela is also quite decisive ...
