In Lakshmi's shoes- What would you do?

We've had many responses on Lakshmi and how she has handled her father being missing, found in a coma, etc We also gave her smackdown (well deserved by the way) on the divorce, mangalsutra, Karan 50 lakhs for surgery, and other situations over the past 3 long, long, endless months.

As unpleasant as it sounds, please put yourself in Lakshmi's shoes and live her life. What changes would you make on father, fault, divorce, money for surgery from Karan, and other dramatic situations, and why.

This post sounds long. But just provide quick thoughts on where you would have landed.

I would have done things differently from the very start. She kept quiet for too long while Karan was torturing her. I wish she had just opened her mouth and said something sooner and this whole mess could have been avoided.

However, I don't know what I would do after that. Her marriage to Karan was born out of revenge, lies, and deception. I don't know if I could forget that so easily. Yes, Karan has changed and he is doing his best to repent, but that doesn't change the circumstances of their marriage or their past. I don't know if I could forget that so easily.

I think Karan and Lax need to just start over. That's what I think I would do. I would tell him I can't just forgive you right away, but since I have made mistakes too, maybe it's best for both of us to just start from the beginning. Go out on dates, spend time with each other, get to know each other, and form an honest relationship. Basically start the relationship over the way it should have happened. They need to create a new foundation for their relationship.

i think i would probably have opened my mouth in the beginning and told surya about karan's misunderstanding....that way, none of this would have happened.

you're right..Laxmi should have spoken up from the start! The this whole thing could have been cleared earlier and she and her family would have been spared from further grief and tears! I understand she wanted to keep her father away from more distress but it still would have been the right thing to do.

Laxmi wont accept Karan back so easily. But if i was her, i'd too probably hesitate before trusting him but just look at the way the guy is really really trying to make up for all of his cruelties. He really regrets his bad deeds and truth be told, its not even his fault that he misunderstood Surya to be the one.

But right now, if i were Laxmi, i'd look at what god he has done so far! He really loves her and i think its high time Laxmi forgave him and try to trust him again
