For Amir, Sallu is friend first competitor second . It looks like he is feeling bad that his good friend is having hard time to beat his highest grossing movie record. I think amir is simply cheering up his good friend to make him feel good. Poor Sallu.

Aamir and salman go back a long way. They dint like each other in andaz apna apna.

Then in 2002,when Aamir was his lowest personally after his divorce, Salman used to come and lift Aamir up when he was deep into depression.

They became friends then onwards. Ive noticed Salman is very supportive of Aamir's kids. he was there with his family to support Junaid when he had organized some college event. Same with ira..she did some charity event too.

When his family had gone to Malta, he called the kids at his place for Eid. And the kids have been to almost all of Salman screenings.So they are very close.

Aamir had openly gone against the AIB roast and publicly said he is angry that they made fun of Arpita.
