OMG! I used to live there. Bred as a northern 😆We moved down south last year well east midlands to be precise. I miss Manchester Eid was lit there. Nearly all our family is back there😭. Here we can't we find proper nice clothes.

Yup Eid here aswell, had to call up several mosques cus there aren't alot of Asians in my neighbourhood.😆

Second day of Eid is literally spent in clearing up the mess from the Eid dinner Lol!😆

oh i get you completely. asian fams gosh! judgemental folk!

i remember when i got reading glasses (which might i add i only use when i have to type up huge assignments) random aunties were like

''hayee bachi ki ankhon ko kya hogaya, have carrots etc''

yup this isnt a good example but yeh what i mean is that these people dont change. lol they freak out when you tell them uve got chicken pox fgs😆

as for asian food... nope loads of english oldies, our only interactions are on wednesdays when we have to take the bins out lol🤣 i miss chunky chicken and nandos yaar. nothings halal here except a lone kfc and i hate kfc its too oily.😭

my mums gonna make lamb chops, korma and were gonna have a barbeque in the garden. ive got exams so i cant help her out and i feel so bad about that (but i guess im doing her a favour since i have a talent of burning everything i trying to cook) i swear kitchens are so scary!😭

my khala/ mums sis lives here too so she's coming over with her kids.

people sometimes call me miriam, maria, marian (i attended a talk on stem cell research and genomics and they printed the wrong name tag so i was called marian for a whole day, and then all that relates to robin hood too😆)

anyway you all ready to celebrate eid tomorrow then?

omg i forgot to tell you... my aunty found some asian friends so i was able to eat asian food today😆😆 and guess what else happened... a white neighbour knocked on our door and said happy eid and gave us fireworks. that was bizarre! guess those 2 second wednesday bonding sessions were memorable for him! LMAOOO!😆😆
