But Puru looked startled and dismayed as soon as Alexander got on Bucephalus and started galloping straight towards Puru's elephant.

I don't think Alexander will attack Takshashila. He could see that Ambhiraj was not helping Porus at all. Ambhi, the king of Takshashila, was an ally of Alexander in the Hydaspes battle, but that was the younger one. I don't know how they will play it here. I think the senior king will continue till the battle.
