Lovestruck producer fires director for finding flaws in his protege's acting skills

What happens when the leading man of a show is also the producer's partner? He gets some extra benefits of course! In this case, the director of the show lost his job due to the fellow's acting talent or rather the lack of it. It is like an open secret that this TV producer is in a relationship with this young fellow, who is also one of the actors in his upcoming venture. It seems like big daddy is too emotionally involved with his protege and cannot tolerate any criticism of him. A source from the sets told us that the young man took close to 40 retakes to get his first shot right and the sequence was a pretty simple one. The director tore his hair and complained to the producer that the project would get nowhere with such talent on board. Needless to say, the furious producer quickly got the director replaced after a couple of weeks. The new guy behind the camera is apparently more accommodating.

Now, the young man is not exactly to the field of acting. He has done a few shows earlier for short time span. However, this is his big break and he really needs to make an impression to stand out in the popular and talented cast. We feel it won't be such a task if his mentor is by his side. Anyways, the fellow has been proving his talent in another departments!
