I would request you to think before making a blanket statement like that. What is with that tone anyway? Whatever verdict you are referring to was overruled by the Supreme Court and men all over India are still crying about why the laws are so biased (and rightly so) . Keeping the real life scenario aside, there is nothing much Alia can do except for holding her head high and walking out of that hell hole called Bhalla house.

I am sorry, I didn't intend to offend anyone... SC's ruling was final judgment in that case but I was talking about filing a case, anyone can file a case against anyone, judgement depends upon various factors... The girl won in trial court and in High court so we can't really say that the ruling was wrong, that'd be contempt of court...

Man, you are extremely cruel, hope you are not one of the law makers because I don't think you can see women beside Ishita... At least according our laws widows don't lose everything after their husband dies, because Adi did not sire an heir, everything that was in his name legally transfers to Alia... Forget about Adi and Alia, if we implement your "No relationship after husband's death" on Ishita, so let's see after Raman's death Ishita loses everything and she doesn't even get to keep Ruhi because she's not Ruhi's biological mother, she can't live in Bhalla house, if she decides to stay in BH then she will have to stay with Shagun, who's biological mother of Raman's kids and obviously she's still Pihu's mother according to birth certificate... And Ishita can't even do anything to get her rights back, no? Or because Ishita's name is involved so we are changing rules?

Anyway to reply to your earlier post about Alia's case standing in court or not, my point from beginning was that Alia CAN file a case, winning or losing was not part of my consideration, many rape victims lose case because they don't have evidences doesn't mean they are not victims and let me tell you judges don't "laugh" at people... In this show Pihu pushed Ananya accidentally but she had to serve 8 months in juvenile prison, was Pihu guilty? No, did she lose the case? Yes... So that's different scenario...

When it comes to confusing you, you are thinking too much, whole discussion was hypothetical, you are blowing it out of proportion, if the post was about Ishita suing Raman and family for the same, you would have been the first one to study all past cases to make sure there are no loopholes, right now I just want Alia to grow a pair and tell this family that she won't take shit from them... How can anyone give evidence of mental or emotional abuse? There is something called circumstantial evidences which play huge role in these cases... Hypothetically speaking Shagun-Mani will testify in Alia's favor so will Parammi they do live in the house and they hate Ishra...

Lastly, Yes, you can sue anyone you want to. Judge will take the cade or not depends upon his mindset, I remember someone from UP sued Lord Rama for torturing Sita Ma, in 2017 only, the case was rejected by Supreme Court and good thing is that even though the case was ridiculous, judges did not laugh at him...

I clearly told they don't have any legal relationship. Shagun and Mani adopted Aliya and they are her legal parents. I don't know if you've watched the show properly. Let me tell you, Shagun gave away Ruhi and Adi's custody to Ishita and Raman and hence IshRa are their legal parents. One fine day Shagun simply cannot turn up and say sorry Ishita they are my children and not yours. It is not legal.

I am only talking about relationships according to the COURT and not emotional ones. If you want me to consider emotional faactor, then Aaliyah would never even file a case against the Bhallas because they are not harassing her.

BTW I thought you told me that you are a law student. Then you should know it better that Roshni's child can inherit Adi's assets (if any ) and not Adi's ancestral property. Aliya cannot refuse.

It is senseless to say that the Bhallas are harassing her. They aren't. So stop it. You are talking as if Aaliyah should file a case just for the fun of it. It is like me filing a case against Dan Brown for the sloppy narration in Origin. It is ridiculous.

BTW when I said the judge would laugh it away, I did not mean it quite literally.

Sorry that earlier statement ticked me off and I reacted. I understand what you are saying. My understanding was that when the Supreme Court overrules a lower court's verdict, they are setting a precedent for future cases as well. So just stated that. Cheers!

@Ishrarian

Way long discussion and quite pointless as you are just assuming things, for the last time, whatever I have is in hypothetical sense, it's a show not reality... And I have never told you or anyone else that I am a law student, another assumption...read properly

Whatever the laws say, punishment for adultery is very rare if not totally unofficially abolished. These laws, civil code laws, were formed 3-4 hundred years ago. Many of these laws are outdated in today's modern world. Punishment for adultery is one of them. Morally, it is a grave sin though as it was centuries ago.
