going on for long but this trend, of late,
is quite hit the heads of the filmmakers.
According to recent reports, a Malayalam
film will be remade in Hindi.
Aashiq Abu's Mayaanadhi starring Tovino
Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi, which
released last year, received lots of love
from the audience. The love story was
the biggest hit of 2017 and it had
impressed the audience at the level that
the makers are planning for Hindi
remake. according to reports, the film
will be remade in Hindi by filmmaker Joe
Rajan, who has previously directed Luv U
Soniyo (2012).
The shooting of the Bollywood project
will go on floors soon and will be
produced by Santosh Kuruvilla of
Malayalam film Ee Ma Yau fame. It is also
being said that popular Marathi actor
Sachin Pilgaonkar will also be seen in the
film. More details about the film are
awaited. It remains to see who steps
into the shoes of Tovino Thomas and
Aishwarya Lekshmi for the remake.
The Malayalam original, starring Tovino
Thomas and Aishwarya Lekshmi,
showcased the turbulent relationship
between Mathew, a man on the run and
Aparna, an aspiring actress.
Co-scripted by Dileesh Nair and Syam
Puskaran, Mayaanadhi was released on
December 22. The film had received
appreciation from the audience and
critics alike.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Shahid
Kapoor has been roped in for the lead
role of the Hindi remake of Telugu film
Arjun Reddy (2017). Queen Once Again
(remake of the Hindi hit movie Queen') is
also in making. The film will star
Tamannaah Bhatia.
