Philip and Olympias are both dark-haired, so how come he is blonde? 😕
In fact, at the beginning of the show, Alexander's (Rohit's) hair was more reddish, which is apparently closer to the real Alexander's hair color.

(I think I like Rohit better as a blonde than with his natural hair color, it goes well with his eyes)

His hair is not even properly blonde. It's strawberry.
It does look weird though since neither Philip nor Olympias have blonde hair. His sister Cleopatra has jet black hair too.

And another puzzling thing was that Darius' sister Queen Ada turned out to be a blonde woman with European features when the character was Farsi.

Folks,

First things first. Queen Ada of Caria in NOT the sister of Darius. Not even the Sony version.

If you don't believe me, apply to inlieu, who will tell you the date of the episode where Alexander views the fortress of Halicarnassus from the brink of a precipice. He mentions the brother of the former malika, but he does not say that she is the sister of Darius. That is a piece of fake news that somehow sneaked into the forum, and will not die!

She belonged to a dynasty called Hecatomnus, which was also the name of her father, King Hecatomnus. She had several siblings, but it was Pixodarus, her brother, who seized power from her and drove her out of Caria.

So the blonde hair is not an issue in her case. On the practical level, I suppose that even if the director had suggested a black dye job, Suzanne Bernert would have refused to colour her hair for that cameo!

Second. Two dark haired parents can have a blonde baby. Blonde hair is a recessive gene, while dark hair is a dominant gene. The parents could each have both genes. They could pass on the two dominant genes to a child, which would have dark hair. Or the two recessive genes, in which case the kid would have blond hair. That is it.

Then they would be constantly questioned in supermarkets by rude people asking them if the baby is their own. Or, if it happened to be crying, whether they had kidnapped it!

Alexander was a blond in real life. But we have no idea what colour Philip's hair was.

This apart, I am glad to see that you have all stopped mourning the seemingly imminent demise of this show, and have started fooling around with such topics😃

I agree ! His blond hair really appeals to his emerald eyes and all his strong facial contour and features. I remember such one scene where his face was smeared with gold color by Olympia as he came back victorious from his first battle against the Thracian King and later on, the camera angle captured him by his profile as he whipped and unleashed the horse to drag the defeated king's body. It was aesthetically pleasing as they really blasted up his assets, like his strong features and especially those eyes.

His blond hair, those gorgeous green eyes and tanned skin ❤️! At least the makers gave us an outstanding opening sequence for Rohit/ Alexander...sadly they have failed to keep up the tempo 🥺

I still remember how those eyes were glaring in pride as Olympia's retorted Hephaestion, Alexander isn't just BEHTAR, he is BEHTAREEN. And never is he going to lose to anyone. He's undefeatable. Why am I rubbing salt on my own wound ooff 😆

http://www.liquisearch.com/alexander_the_great/character/physical_appearance
According to this article, Alexander suffered from heterochromia iridum, meaning one eye of his was brown and the other blue in colour...the dude was a mutant!! ☢️ 😎. It also says he was short in height and his neck was in some way twisted. tilted 🤔

http://thesecondachilles.tumblr.com/post/102255824704/plutarch-life-of-alexander-chapter-4
This article says that Alexander's skin was fresh and sweet smelling and his body gave off a peculiar fragrance and a sweet smelling body was regarded as a mark of divinity in ancient Greece...hence, the reference to him being a 'Zues ka beta'?
