Hi everyone,
Let me start off by saying that i've been a silent reader of this forum for over a year now... but as our favourite show has reached it's conclusion today I felt like I should finally make a post here for the first time.
Like many of you i'm deeply saddended that there'll no longer be anymore episodes of TSMSP to look forward to everyday. So i just wanted to take make an effort to reflect on a few of the best qualities about our show and some of the things that made it so beautful.
Literally every single member of the cast was amazing. They are all such incredibly talented actors that gave their everything to bring the characters to life and it definitely showed. I don't think i've seen another show with so many characters i really loved. Uma, Kanak, Adi, Bhabo, Maasisa, Ved, Payal, Vansh, Saras, Suman, Shiv... they all created one big perfect family đ which makes it even more sad that we may not see them all together like this again.đ
We got to experience an amazing story of two completely opposite people eventually becoming the most perfect couple, along with a truely positive and progressive message. One of the best elements for me being the journey of a character like Uma Shankar - who's progression from the start to end was so huge... starting off with a backward, oppressive mentality toward women and society before being transformed by Kanak into the modern, open minded and encouraging person he is today, supporting his wife in her every decision and always being at her side no matter what.
Another thing I loved was that even though we had a fair share of serious tracks, there were always plenty of light hearted moments and humor to give you a laugh. The character of Aditya in this regard i will never forget! Despite all the evil things he did in the past... in the last few months of the show, i absolutely loved him, all the chemistry and interactions between him and Uma and especially Kanak were sooo good, i'm going to miss the times such as when they were both jumping on the bed together in excitement đ
There were just so many memorable moments in this show, such as when Kanak had to complete ten trials to prove herself in order to obtain the deed for the sweet shop, when Maasisa exposed her true colours to Uma, when Saras became Sara to trick Vansh, and when they went to Bangkok and met the gay hotel manager and dressed up as Baby D and Harpreet Singh just to name a few! đ
Our show has been unfairly pulled off the air, and i personally refuse to believe that "low TRPs" are the reason behind this decision. Even in the UK where i'm from, TSMSP was one of the most watched serials and was even #1 here at one point, even though that doesn't count!
I had hoped that just like Diya aur baati Hum lasted numerous years our show would too, sadly that wasn't destined to happen and we can thank Star Plus for that. They can keep their shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Yeh Rishta Kya Kilata Hai and Ishqbaaz with their boring, uninspired and recycled storylines, and lets not even bring up the so called 'Game Shows' which they would rather have over a a truely inspiring and captivating serial that embodied the meaning of nayi soch.
They made a big mistake pulling the plug on a show like this, and i sincerely hope they will come to regret it.
In fact it's actually good timing when they decided to change their Nayi Soch tagline as soon as our show was annouced to end, its like SP already knew they couldn't live up to it themselves! đ
Anyway enough negativity about that stupid channel, its time to end this post in a positive way. At least we can find some happiness in that neither Kanak or Uma died and since we got a happy ending this time, there might be some hope for TSMSP to be able to return for another season in the future.. and hopefully on a better channel too! Nonetheless, I would like to wish the best of luck to Avinesh, Rhea and the rest of the cast members for the future!
If you made it this far, thanks for reading, i know it was a long post... sorry! And as we now all try to get over the pain of it being over, lets just think of all the good memories that TSMSP gave us and remember:
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. :)
