Janhvi Kapoor has wrapped up her debut Bollywood film, Dhadak. She stars in the film with Ishaan Khatter. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film will release on July 20, 2018.
Janhvi Kapoor's cousin Sonam Kapoor was asked in an interview with Femina what advice she would like to give Janhvi Kapoor. "I have already given her enough counsel. When I joined the industry, her mom (Sridevi) helped me quite a bit, including with my makeup. I remember I used to go to her house and have a lot of conversations with her. I know she had those talks with Jahnvi already, but all I can say is, that she needs to be professional, respect hers and everyone else's time, which is something she knows already. There will be a lot of naysayers, but she just needs to keep her head down and keep working, Sonam said.
Sonam is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming release, Veere Di Wedding. She stars in the film with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.
About the prep work required for the film, Sonam said, "The kind of preparation that I have done is insane. Every few months, your idea of the character evolves because you evolve as a person. I had done back stories, workshops and dialogues of every character.
The film directed by Shashanka Ghosh is a story of four friends and will release on June 1, 2018.
Sonam's upcoming projects are Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and The Zoya Factor.
