Abhishek Kapoor drags Sara Ali Khan to court for signing Simmba before finishing Kedarnath

It seems that Kedarnath and controversies are going hand in hand in the current situation. After facing a legal trouble with KriArj Entertainment, the movie has now landed in a different matter. As per the latest reports, director Abhishek Kapoor has now dragged lead actress and star kid Sara Ali Khan to court summoning the dispute over date issues. As per TOI report, the producer complaint that in 2017 Abhishek took Sara Ali Khan onboard when she signed the contract last September.

Now as per the makers' plea in court, Sara had earlier gave a nod to be available on all the dates throughout the shoot. But when the makers informed her that the shooting of Kedarnath will go till May to July 5, her agent said that she won't be available in June as she'll start filming for Ranveer Singh's Simmba. Now, Abhishek Kapoor wants the court to look into the matter and let her know that she can't start any other film until she finishes Kedarnath. In fact, Abhishek has also asked HC to ask Sara to pay Rs 5 crore for breaching the contract and making damages. While Sara Ali Khan will make her first silver screen appearance in November with Kedarnath, lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput has two films lined up for this year. SSR will be first seen in Drive, along with Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is produced under the banner of Dharma Productions and directed by Dostana's Tarun Mansukhani. Coming back to Kedarnath, the film is produced by Ronnie Screvwala under his banner RSVP and is set to hit the screens on November 30.

Wow! Bade bade log...badi badi baatein. Even before she debuts people are fighting so much for her dates.

Isn't it super common in BW that most actors are working on multiple movies at the same time, so dates clashing is inevitable? Makers usually adjust their schedules suitably to accommodate the actors' dates.

This is the first time I am hearing something like dragging an actor to court due to unavailability of dates.

Whatever it was, it should have been settled amicably. Abhishek may not really attract top actors to act in his movies if this is the reputation he wants to build up for himself.

This kedarnath project seems like a mess...Poor Sara !! She deserved a better debut movie and journey.

Possibly they could be doing drama for some free publicity. Atleast will keep the movie in news till it releases. Otherwise Abhishek is Ekta's cousin who is close to KJo who produces Simba. Also producer of Kedarnath is Screwwala who is also close to KJo. Then there is also Amrita and Saif who are close to KJo who could help sort out the dates issue. This is an issue to be resolved on Whatapp among them with all the interlinkages.

hmmm! Since it's a legal contract and she breached it by being unavailable according to whatever the terms of the contract might be, then I don't think him going the legal way is wrong though.

Hope they sort it out amicably.

i dont think thats fair at all, sara must hav agreed to that wen kdernath started filming, but then there was the big delay in filming which nobody predicted, so sara signed another film coz we didnt even know if kedarnath was gonna even release, plus she can film both kedranath and simmba around the same time, why does abhishek only want her to film kedarnath and nothing else? seems very unreasonable to drag her to court, it can be settled in a much more peaceful way

I don't think logistically she will be able to film both together because Simmba is being shot in Hyderabad and Kedarnath in North India.
