He is wearing this mask trying to hide his sadness, his hurt expression, his lifeless look.

To hide it he is showing this mask of irritation and unaffected look.

Where actually he is so much affected.

So much that he can't look into the eyes of Naina, he can't look into the eyes of Mundit, he can't look into the eyes of Preeti- sister of his Naina.

He knows his eyes will speak all if he look at them. He avoids that and wears a fake smile but can't enjoy any jokes of Mundit. Afraid to see a teasing Naina. He is afraid he will lose battle if he gives a little attention.

At the end he feels sad also to see all his friends trying hard to make him talk and react.

He is trying hard this battle alone.

It is not easy to wear this mask yet he is trying his best. We may fail to decipher his look but it is too hard for him.

Your description of Sameer Maheshwari is so apt and the title reflects his exact state!!

Even if he shows a bit of sadness or lifeless look, he knows that he will be caught by his Naina and Mundit..

How much he must be hating to put on this unaffected look and going through that pain..

Wow Laizu... What an apt description...! 👏

He is indeed affected, a little too much... and he is trying to hide everything he feels trying to be the arrogant swag wala Sameer he was earlier... The only difference is that time he was hiding the pain of a scattered family - that pain was deep but not sharp, the edge had lessened over the years...

He then found the elixir of life from Naina and MunDit... he started to live... truly... he started to feel without being scared...

And now when he is trying to be that earlier version of Sameer, this time he is hiding the pain of his own scattered life and future - this pain is deep as well as sharp enough to slice his heart in two... Yet, he is hell-bent on bearing everything on his own... Didn't we know he was capable of this? The boy who could do anything for his friends, we knew already how much he could sacrifice for his love... Till the time he is completely assured that his love is not in danger by his presence, he will be in this pain... It does seem foolish and it is... but for the person who is undergoing this trauma it is a razor sharp pain that we cannot even imagine.

Very well written on the mental state of Sameer. He is trying very hard to keep up that unaffected look but failing miserably at certain points. And he is very well aware that a slight change in his eyes itself is enough for Naina and mundit to find out his actual mental state. The fear that your existence itself is acting as a poison to your loved ones is devastating. It is not that easy to come out of that fear. Let's see how Naina and Mundit are breaking his mask and help him to come out of that heart breaking situation.

Exactly..hiding pain from our loved once is like battling a war with yourself everyday..and thats exactly what sameer is doing at the moment..that sudden change of topic...putting on glasses so no one can see his eyes...looking at her even after getting her out of the class...going back to the same room just to see your dejected on not being able make him talk or talk to naina...everything is soo nicely potrayed and randeep is doing a splendid job..still complains come about execution and acting the worst..abhi 1 epi hoa hai college ka and people are saying that college mein kiya ab bus sameer ko manana hi reh gaya hai..
Sorry but needed to burst out..sick and tired of this constant critisizem...eik level tak thek aur healthy lagti hai..but what is happening on this forum is not healthy anymore...I feel a certain section is sitting there just to make negative posts while the other portions is trying to spread positivity...

Along with masking of ignoring her..he is trying to make her hate him by his behaviour if his...which is even moore piercing.. 😭
Sameer..atleast talk to her once...she is getting as much hurt as you are...you need to understand this 😭

These were my thoughts. The portrayal of his pain and and the mask he is wearing is really good. Trying to get Naina to hate him.. but in all this where does that leave Naina. She needs an explanation for this behavior. He needs to tell her something to justify his behavior. Main is baare me baat nahin karna chahta is not enough for someone who was waiting so eagerly to see him again.

How and when will this end...

Beautiful post laizu! Glad to see you back..

He's hurting himself as much as he's hurting his loved ones...He is a fool if he thinks he can go with this pretence forever as one day he will breakdown as we are all human beings and noone can handle too much stress and after all, he is still a teenager where the complexity of the emotions are at its peak!
