Porus Production Budget

Okay, so help me out. Wikipedia states that Porus is apparently the most expensive show on Indian television, having a budget of about INR 500 crores (roughly USD 80 million). Any truth to it? Because how is the money being spent? The cast is wearing the same old costume on repeat. I'm sick of tatty Dasyu clothing, sick of so much "blue", sick of seeing Barsine in the same freaking dress! The hometown sets seem to be okay but could be much better, more realistic. The weapons look like cheap plastic toys. And so much more! What the heck?

I think most of the budget will be spend on the war scenes later on.

Well, my dear Alaria, if they actually have so much moolah, and it is not just a PR stunt, they could have spent some of it in Egypt and showed Alexander's sieges of Tyre and Gaza, his being crowned as Pharaoh at Memphis, and the founding of Alexandria.

The show has amazing cinematography...usp of the show for many viewers...it requires special cameras for that. They have actually made those huge sets and are handling such a big team on their own. They are providing them with houses and food. And no director can lie on board that his show his most expensive one.

Also they are using real pearls in their jewelry, their jewelry is also real and expensive. Plus the sets are too huge and beautiful, they cost a lot.
