Kabir extremism and Zara Modernism

I think we need to clarify that what Kabeer truly believes to be islam, is his definition of what he thinks how it is supposed to to be. I think for him its all black and white, he doesn't see that middle path. But this is his interpretation. I love that Zara is in the middle, because Islam always asks to take the middle path; not to be too harsh and extreme, but not to be too laid back either. So leniency and balance. I love Zara honestly, and Kabeer represents a population of muslims who do practice that way and actually think their way is the only way. Islam means peace, it means love. The way Kabeer is, is highly influenced by his own interpretation of the religion. He is rigid and set in his ways. Totally missing what the teachings of the prophet is. The way he treats Zara has been hurting me to the point I stopped watching. The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "the ones who are the best amongst you, are the ones who are best to their wives" We are instructed to be kind, affectionate, and loving towards our spouses. It is not all about duties. It is a mans duty to be kind towards his wife. Kabeer thinks by fulfilling the basics such as food, shelter and clothing he is being dutiful. But that is not the case, if he was following islam truthfully, he woud be kind to her, speak softly to her, and make sure she is not hurting.
I am just really sad, that Kabeer is so set in his ways, his male ego, and his mentallty that men dominate everything and women belong in the kitchen. If he was truly practicing the ways of islam, he would be helping his wife, he would allow her to work, he would help her with household chores. Abuse is not allowed in his islam, it is a sin. Its so sad, and watching Zara not saying anything, she needs to throw some hadiths and quranic verses his way. The wife has rights upon her husband. She deserves better. She can do better. Kabeer wants to model the correct form of islam but he couldnt be any further away from it. I hope they show him finally learning true islam, through the actions of the prophet. I hope he starts to question his views, otherwise it is really heartbreaking to watch his relationship with Zara.

Kabir is set in his own ways.. Don't see him changing easily. He considers marriage his duty and responsibility. Zara made a good point, where is love? Seem like we will see the return of Siraj and misunderstanding between Kabir and Zara which might lead to divorce. Don't know much about the religion, but once divorce happens, can the couple get back if they want to? Any restrictions? I think divorce might make Kabir realize the value and love for Zara.
