This was what was posted yesterday night when I posted the article:

Raazi has scored very well on day one with collections looking to be in around the 8.5-9 crore nett range. The film, opened well in the morning and looked to be heading at around 7 crore nett pace but gained further in the evening and night shows..

This was what I found today when I opened the article again:

Raazi did very well on day one as it collected in the 7.50 crore nett range on day one. The opening day is the fifth highest of the year and not far off bigger films like Pad Man (9.81 crore nett) and Raid (9.45 crore nett). Baaghi 2 and Padmaavat top the opening days of 2018 as far as Hindi films are concerned.

Cant even say that it was KJo behind it as they would all have been consistent and given as 9cr as the final figures too.

Nothing new. They did this edit work before for many films. The one I remember is that other Times Group movie BKB. To show the Monday drop is healthy they kept lowering and increasing (balancing) the first few days collections. xXx was another... they edited it to increase the first day's collection since DP needed face saving.

This movie is also Times Group movie isnt it?

Raazi Scores Very Well On Day One

The result is a very good first day box office collection and possibly the highest ever for a film driven by the heroines without a recognized male lead. Raazi has gone a little wider than most of the successful heroine orientated films which are restricted to the five metros be it Kahaani, Neerja or this years Hichki. The collections may not be huge in UP, Rajasthan, CI etc but they are healthy and this gives the film an extra boost.

The film is set for a strong weekend and it will be interesting what sort of growth comes over the weekend because if the film shows the sort of growth content films do from this level then the film is going to be huge. But that sort of growth is not easy from these near 9 crore apprx levels.

Probably fearing a huge drop on Monday. Then they can't tout that their movie is doing well on weekdays as well...

Or not so big jump on Saturday... Friday 7, Sat 9 would be a good pitch than Fri 9, Sat 9. You know how some PH buy tickets to show their movie opened well... Saturday ko toh Ram bharose chhodna padta hai.

Seriously BOI's lies are exposed yet again and not to mention the lies of all the trade guys. Cant trust a single one of them. The so called 'success' of certain films have always been suspect. Now its proved not only their casting is manipulated the BO figures are manipulated too with all lying in tandem.

BOI pulled off a similar thing by reducing HNY's figures when Dhoom3 could not cross it. That time all non SRK fans sided with BOI. Now I am curious to see what happens.
