Nah...not yet...and anyways she won't be bigger than Deepika and Katrina...Deepu/Kat are superstars in their own rights...Alia has a long way to go.

Her solo film opened the highest among heroine oriented films. Also it opened at twice of Piku/FF which her fans say depended on her starpower. Plus she managed to give an opening outside metros which only male stars do. Her opening is similar to what Akshay or Ajay would have given with the same film. So yes this film takes her to the top.

Not No.1 yet as I said in another thread, lets see how her big movies do.

But it is clear cut answer to people who doubted her popularity and said it is only Kjo's fake hype and paisa khilana which created illusion of her being a star.

I think Deepika still has a lot of fuel left. But is it just me or does Deepika doesn't seem to care about Bollywood anymore. Come to think of it, she has perhaps done almost everything Bollywood as an Industry can offer her.

I just looked up her new films on Wikipedia. The section is literally called, Piku and Period films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali 😆

Back in the day, Deepika used to actively lobby for films, now even Padmavat feels like she did because she felt obliged to Bhansali. Then again, there are barely any good roles. The few that seem to come in, like Dear Zindagi and Raazi are swooped in by Karan Johar for Aloo Kachalu 😛

A big opening doesnt always mean star power. This forum has misinformed people about opening numbers and has made people believe that opening day = star power. This is not always the case. The same Tiger Shroff who had a 25 crore opening in Baaghi-2 is the same TIger who had a Munna Michael that opened at 6 crores.And the same Tiger's whose SOTY2 will probably open around 10 crores.

October opened at 3 crores but Badlapur opened at near 7,

Also - Judwaa 2 opened at 16...Badri 11 - (even though Queen Alia was in it?)

Star power (at least for the young stars) IS NOT an indication of any kind of power, the opening is more-so a reflection of the audience's interest in the movie.

Even Sidharth Malhotra' Ek Villain opened to 17 crores but at the end of the day - it means NOTHING.

Queen/Kahaani opened at 1 crore, and then grew to become iconic films. There are other factor that give movies a big opening besides whose in it, especially when a young/new star is in it. Thats why an Aashiqui-2 worked despite having nobodies in it.

Raazi opened at 8 crores...SOTY opened at 7 crores with newcomers...its really not a big achievement IMO 😆 Also Heroine/Mary Kom had the same range in opening numbers.
