Sri Devi died on 24th Feb

It has just been 2 months since she died and Kapoor family are already celebrating a wedding

I feel if the wedding had already been announced prior to the death then maybe it still wud have seemed okay to go ahead as planned but it was only announced few days ago.. I personally feel the more considerate and humane thing would have been to perhaps postpone it a bit .. but then again times have changed and they are celebrities so maybe they think differently

Your thoughts?

Maybe it was already announced and planned prior to her death. We're not going to know.
I personally think it's good to move on, be happy and celebrate occasions like this. After all, life goes on. Maybe she would have wanted it this way.
But honestly it is really not our place to question all this.

As long as their entire family is okay with the decision, it shouldn't matter if it's happening too soon or later. They will grieve Sridevi even after the wedding as she was family, there is no grieving time limit and this type of event can get boney and girls something else to focus on a personal front. All in all, Society will always have something say about about when something is appropriate to do or not, at the end of the day, it just depends on you and your closed ones to see which decision best agrees with you. Pandering to society's rules and regulations is not always the right choice.

I think it almost certainly has been in the planning for long even though not officially announced until recently. I think it is fine for Sonam to marry now. If she had delayed it I would have thought it had more to do with "what people will say " than anything else and really what is the point of that?

Death is overrated. A soul has passed, no matter what you do it's not going to come back. Better to get on with life instead of keeping things on hold.

For me a month is more than enough. For you it's a year. For someone else it could be ten years. It's all subjective.

It's not like Sridevi's family is still in mourning either. They seem to have moved on with their life and so should everyone else.

In Permanent Roommates season 2 they set a good point about this. Heroine's mother passed away soon after her birth and he said that he enjoyed playing cricket with the little kids back then. It made him truly happy but people kept ssying ki Biwi ko mare kuch waqt nahi hua aur baccha ban gaya. People don't grieve all the time. It's not possible. I miss my Nani randomly. She passed away 7 months ago. She'd be in my thoughts when I think about the brilliant Chai she made whenever I visited her. So that Saunf laachi Chai reminds me of her whenever I have it. 2 days after her death, I had to go somewhere so I couldn't even think about it much tbh. I did grieve but it's not like I stopped being myself totally. It's good that the Kapoors are happy and celebrating. The kind of joy togetherness brings is the best remedy for the emptiness coz of Sri's demise.

The wedding was being planned months in advance and it was definitely in the works prior to Sridevi's demise even if it was officially announced just now.
I think as long as the Kapoor family is okay and has no issues, it's not our business to judge. I think Sridevi herself would prefer that her family is as normal as possible and not mourning 24/7.

Waise bhi kehte hai ki, kanyadaan is the most pious thing parents can do. It is said to bring peace to the departed soul as well. I've heard that it is said that if someone in your father's family dies, typically all functions besides a daughter's wedding should be postponed so getting a daughter married is actually considered auspicious at this time.

If the family of Sri is OK with it...no one else should have a problem..its a family affair...who are we to judge?

It may have been planned before , weddings are usually planned 6 months to 1 year earlier.
