It is extremely hard to be in situation where one is starved beaten abused by the people who was supposed to take care of them.. She was left alone on a street, she didn't know where her father had gone why did he abandoned her and her sister... She was taken to a orphanage where she was beaten during night by the people who are supposed to protect her, she craved for a simple thing like toffee.. She was then adopted only to lose her adoptive parents.. She was left with responsibility of a child and also an aunt who abused her.. People looked down on her because she didn't have a surname.. After all this it's really applaud worthy that she only has trust issue.. She did not know back then that her father had not abandoned her, she was afraid that one wrong thing she will be beaten for that.. She was worried about her aunt will take away one person who genuinely loved and cared about her..
Her issues are genuine and valid.. And no its doesn't fade away with one assurance.. It has taken years to form those is issues and it will take years to overcome that..
But I agree that it's Annika's job to overcome that..
Ps:not meant to offend..
