(Vikrant's bedroom, answering a call.)
"Ji sir! Of course sir, Mei use bata dunga. Jai Hind!"
Vikrant's morning had started with a call from Suresh Dutt, informing him about a new case. He could not get through to Aditi so he had asked vikrant to get her up to speed regarding the case. As if he wasn't going to! As vikrant got ready to leave for Aditi's house, he could not stop but wonder.
"Aaj Aditi ko Kya ho gaya? Aaj kal to roz Suresh sir mujhse pehle use call karte hai. Chalo mei bhi ek baar try kar leta hu."
Vikrant tried calling Aditi and it went straight to her voicemail. He tried again and again, at the third attempt Aditi picked up the call,
"Hmm?" Vikrant heard a faint groan from the other side.
"Utho ASP saahiba! Bulawa Aya Hai." Vikrant was surprised to realize that Aditi was still in bed. She was supposed to be the morning person in their partnership.
"Hmm.." another muffled sound from the other end and then there was nothing.
"Chal beta vikrant ab ye bhi kam khud hi karna padega." Vikrant thought to himself as he got into his car and drove towards Aditi's house.
(Aditi's bedroom)
Aditi was curled up on her bed, hiding under the heap of her duet. Her head was pounding since last night and she had no idea why! She didn't have any energy to go into work today, she just wanted to lie in the bed for the entire day. And a very sunny call from her ACP hadn't helped the cause either.
As She heard the door bell, aditi snuggled deep into her bed, covering her head with a pillow. The maid opened the door, it was vikrant.
"Aditi madam uth gayi?"
The maid shook her head and vikrant made his way to Aditi's bedroom calling her name.
"Aditi!"
He was greeted with a blanket burrito instead, who's left leg was peeking out of the blanket. Vikrant went and sat at the edge of the bed and tickled the foot.
"Ugh! Huh" and the leg retracted inside the blanket.
"Kya kaha? Chala jau? Thik hai, jaa raha hu, fir mujhe bich me mat lana jab Suresh sir ko explain karna hoga tab!" Saying this vikrant got up from the bed and stood next to the window.
Aditi slowely uncovered her face and looked at the door with sleepy eyes. It was still closed, so vikrant hadn't left the room. She turned her face towards the window and saw vikrant standing there, just about to open the blinds. Her eyes widened with fear and she turned her face ,
"Nahi vikrant! Please khidki mat kholo!" She pleaded.
Hearing her cry, vikrant let go of the blinds and sat on the bed again, this time right in front of Aditi's face. She had closed her eyes tightly and looked rather adorable. Vikrant tucked a stray curl that had splayed on Aditi's face behind her ear.
"To bolo na, Kya hua? Tum to kabhi aise itni der tak nahi soti. Bolo na kya hua?"
Aditi slowely opened her eyes and looked up at vikrant. He was wearing his usual olive green t-shirt, showcasing his biceps perfectly. He was a sight to sore eyes, Aditi thought to herself before she saw the question in his eyes.
"Sar dard kar raha hai." Aditi answered in a small voice.
"Allele.. baby ka sal dald kal laha hai? Ruko abhi thik karta hu."
Saying this vikrant bent down and placed a kiss on Aditi's forhead.
"Thik hua?"
"Mm.." aditi hummed relishing the feeling of vikrants warm lips on her skin.
"To fir utho, fresh ho jao, bhoot pakadne jana hai." Saying this vikrant pulled Aditi's blanket as he got up from the bed.
Aditi put up a feeble protest but vikrants hold was much stronger. She gave up and sat on the bed. Vikrant took her by her hands and made her stand, and pushed her towards the bathroom.
"Chalo Chalo, mei niche intejar kar raha hu. Firse so mat jana."
Aditi rolled her eyes as she entered the bathroom, has he ever let her sleep peacefully?
Later when she came downstairs, she found vikrant siting at the dining table feasting on aaloo paratha's. She joined him at the table and he force fed her one of paratha's before she could even speak.
"Are, ruko! Mujhe nahi khana!"
"Kaise nahi khana? Fir dawai kaise logi? Aur tum mere sath aa rahi ho, mei tumhe yahan akela nahi chhodne wala." Vikrant replied while feeding her another piece of paratha.
"Akeli kahan hu? Baai (maid) hai na." Aditi replied in between the bites.
"Mujhe to unpe bhi shaq hai, mei jab bhi ata hu mujhe ghurti rehti hai." Vikrant said looking around the room suspiciously.
Aditi giggled and replied, "Ab ghurne jaisi chiz hai to aur kya karegi bechari?"
Vikrant looked at her with surprise and asked, "aaj bada flirt kar rahi ho ASP saahiba!"
"Haan to shuruat kisne ki thi?" Aditi looked at him with a challenge.
They were interrupted by the maid when she came with Aditi's medicine and a glass of water. Aditi accepted it and left for the case with vikrant.
