Finally! After months of speculations, it's
official now that Sonam Kapoor and Anand
Ahuja will get married on May 8, over two
days of wedding celebrations in Mumbai.
The Kapoors and the Ahujas made it official
in a joint statement that they released on
Tuesday night.
Sonam and Anand have been dating each
other since the past two years. The first time
Anand was officially spotted with Sonam
publicly was at the success party of Akshay
Kumar's Rustom in 2016. Post that, the duo
have been clicked on various occasions, be it
their London holidays or at the family
functions of the actress.
Not much has been known about Anand
Ahuja, who's the grandson of Harish Ahuja,
owner of Shashi Exports which is touted to
be India's largest garment export house.
Anand is also credited to have found the
country's first multi-brand sneaker boutique
for which he credits his love for footwear.
The export house is said to have clients like
GAP, Tommu Hilfiger and Abercombie
among others.
That's a little bit about the business bit, but
did you know that he also owns a plush
bungalow which amounts to a whopping Rs
173 crore? The 3170 square yard plot in
central Delhi was sold to Harish Ahuja by Om
Arora (owner of Variety Book Depot in
Connaught Place).
The plot on which the plush bungalow is
situated reportedly has a build-up area of
900 squeare feet. It's called a 'sher mukhi'
bungalow because of its shape, which is
wider in the front and tapers towards the
back. The property was acquired by Harish
Ahuja in the year 2015.
Another fact that makes this bungalow a hot
property is its location. Reportedly, the
bungalow is situated in the Lutyens
Bungalow Zone (LBZ) which is supposed to
be home to the country's top businessmen.
Steel magnate LN Mittal, businessman-
turned-politician Naveen Jindal, Airtel's Sunil
Mittal, owners of Dabur - the Burmans,
among others are said to own bungalows in
the popular LBZ area.
Anand had completed his post-graduation
from Wharton Business School in USA and
then he moved back to India and took over
his family business.

She herself is quite rich. I don't think it was his riches that got her to like him.
