It'll be fun to see Khushi Kapoor (19 -20 yr old) calling Deepika a mother figure and acting opposite Ranveer Singh. Deepika is known to be motherly to her sister so I'm sure she's motherly to all the young ones out there.

I'm find it ridiculous how women get slotted in these tags all in the name of love & respect.

Dp is an outsider. Don't think she can be pally with senior actresses. Plus sri was a known recluse. So ,no chance of being a friend there. Cool with mother figure.

If someone is maternal towards someone they become a mother figure. Its really that simple. What does that have to do anything about age? Y'all do the most to trash Deepika. Inventing stuff outta nowhere. And why should she call anyone of her co-stars father figures? 😆 Have they been paternal towards her. Kuch bhi. On topic : I can understand where they relate. Deepika literally does everything on her own. She lives alone in Mumbai,manages her house and office alone,and for Sri that's her own story in a way after she hot freedom from her mother's clutches. No wonder she was protective.

So nice of her to say this in the interview. No wonder she was one of the first people to rush to Anil's house and the funeral after her demise.

Like someone said, I think Sri did encourage younger actresses and treated them with love and did not play the seniority card. Otherwise no way would all the top actresses across decades who came after Sri would have only nice things to say about her in interviews irrespective of her being alive or dead.

I recently came across an obituary interview of Raveena after Sri's demise where she spoke about how despite being a superstar during Laadla, she treated a one film old Raveena with utmost respect and would call Raveena inside her van qnd discuss about the film and chat.
