yaadon ki barat
chalti ka naam gaadi
pakeezah
hum hain rahi pyaar ke

there is a movie called pushpak of kamal hasan..its a silent movie
which i actually liked as am fond of silent movies ..there is a scene
where a beggar dies n when he dies there is lot of money he was
sitting on..like compared to the beggar the hero is more of a beggar that is
what made me like this movie n approve this scene n rate this movie as
a gem indeed.u can try it.

You mean independent films?

Old Indie films - I can only think of parallel movies of 70s

I think anybody who's a fan Kamalhaasan or fan of Indian movies or good movies in general should watch Pushpak

The theme of unemployment and the penniless existence was more prevalent in 70s and 80s movies

The beggar scene you mentioned is the highlight

Some people might be turned off by some other scenes though 😆

How old?
Pretty much all of Abhay Deol films are excellent. Ek Chalis ki last local, Manorama 6 feet under are my favorites.

ya.ur right.some of the scenes are really eew 😆
but then i belong to those class who will see n praise
one beautiful scene n ignore all the negatives provided that one
scene could pull my strings hard.i really used to think beggars are poor
until i saw this movie 😆.

ya actually i like south movies more.frankly bollywood makes remakes of
them.so i feel its better to see the originals n catch up the remakes ol.
almost every movie seems to be inspired from some south movie.
may be the bolly ppl lacks scripting skills.😕.
