Bepannah ~ My Thoughts~ ep 26~23.4.18 .. Smile please!
There's a popular saying, smile and the whole world smiles with you. One way of proving inner strength is to smile through the rough grim patches of life. It's believed smiles are contagious, like frowns are catchy too. But what's significant is the range of emotions, human's exhibit when prompted by their circumstances and experiences. The episode touches upon how human behaviour becomes erratic by memory recall of personal experiences, that soothes their loss of someone dear to them, or infuriates them. Thus human beings frown upon those who steal their joy and right to smile through life! We have Aditya in the previous episode, possessed by fury, crying his eyes out by a wounding memory of the past that consistently makes way into his present with the grim message that smarting memories might even advance into his future too! Yet the tears disappear along side the frowns in this episode. Smiles beam on his face, due one person who knows how to bring smiles on the faces of those who hurt terribly by her ways!
Zoya's smile echoes her intentions and acts as a great motivator for the rest of her working team of probationers. She leads by honest confession of being new to business herself. The team can see her sincerity and are willing to please her by their efforts. They know they'll be appreciated by her. The younger staff cannot help but referring to the linkup between their bosses spouses. But the oldest member points out Zoya's kindness and strength to bring happiness to others, plus prove that she her loves for her husband! This to me, runs parallel to what the old partially sighted stranger remarked about Adi in the shrine in yesterday's episode. Objective comments about both outwardly warring Adi and Zoya keep cropping up! Opposing yet similar in nature they are!
"One may smile and smile and yet be a villain[ Shakespeare's Hamlet]. Noor has discerned the wily traits of Mahi. Noor may look half asleep, but she is very much awake to Mahi dossing about, while Zoya works her guts out to run Zosh ! Mahi can see this young missy is going to be too hot to handle! Tit for tat! With a sneer Noor reminds the smug Mahi that her simple to handle, easily duped Zoya is really Mahi's boss! And she'd better not forget it! But Noor is also alert in terms of not leaving herself open to the likes of prying Mahi! Noor needed to show she was doing internship!
Both Arjun and Noor are on the lookout for misplaced dairies that are significant. Does Sakhshi have Pooja's dairy? Since she turns up when Arjun is rummaging his drawers? Arjun in panic lies to her! He may have thrown Sakhsh! Clearly Arjun lost his smiles out of anxiety. Noor too drifts into Zosh , hopes Zoya will help her.. Instead Noor doesn't mince her words, tells her sister upfront, organising Adi's birthday party on behalf of Pooja Hooda, is a bad notion. Its bound to blow in her face! Adi will t treat it like a sick joke! In asking for Noor's help, is Zoya offering Noor an internship ???In Zosh ? Noor s words can also be taken as an echo of what most people gossip about, think of Zoya as dense.. In denial of the truth about Yash having illicit relationship with her husband. But as we see, not even Noor's words can stop her from doing what Zoya has faith in and trusts! That her Yash was clean! The birthday party will clean the tarnished images of both Yash and Pooja. Aditya's faith in his marital love will be restored! Will Zoya's sincere effort to bring a smile upon grieved parities faces bear fruit??
The kheer, rice pudding surprise! Scene is to do with keeping alive the sweet memories of one's lost loved one! The scene brings out the differing perspective of two grieving mothers! Pooja's mothers grieves her dead daughters loss. Aditya s mother, Anjana mourns for the disgrace and smarting her living son has to face due to an unfaithful wife! Being a woman she rejects the idea of the traditional preparation of kheer for her son's birthday, as without a doubt with the bad memories equated with the sweet dish. The dish will taste bitter for Adi! Best be forgotten like a foul memory! It will push him, backwards rather than forward. With Aditya's mother, Anjana it was more about trust and betrayal . Anjana can relate to it. So the last thing she is going to do is honour the memory of her fallen from grace daughter in law! Who brought shame to the Hooda name! The dessert , brings about further bitterness between the two women. Their smiles of bearing each other fast fades! Only plastic smiles remain!
Arjun, attempts to revive the smile on Sakshi's face .. But Sakshi has to understand her daughters's revealed truth does not vouch for even recollections of Pooja s memories as part of this house and its house holders!
Zoya has the strange powers to bring a smile upon Adi's face! Be it a grin, a sneer, or a smirk.. But the beam lights up his eyes and then his whole face. Both suspect each other of some come- uppance! but both cannot deny they could do with more smiling than interlocking their antlers!
Seeing her smiling surrounded by her team, Adi had to stop and question her about the reason for smile? But what will Adi be without his gibes and sneers! She can smile but it cannot take away the label of cheater from her husband! By now Zoya has learnt to give him lip when ever Adi is in his shirty moods! This time since yet again he picks on Yash.. She gives him some words of wisdom! Its unwise to beat one's self for some one else errors! Adi delves on her words! Yes he hates to admit it but this after all! not so stupid girl is so right! Makes him realize , why should he batter himself emotionally on the blunders of Pooja! Let her be!! So he can live! Enjoy the good life again!
Involved in work, without realizing Zoya fidgets with her graphic pencil and ends up with goatee number one stubble! Courtesy of Zoya he pokes fun of her , without malice! Just out of good fun! When she checks in horror! He takes off with her box of tissues! recedes back in the corridor! Just being the child he always was! It is good to see he lets himself go!! Shows.. The man is not a total lost case!! And all because of Zoya! Her smiles! Her funny turns!
Aditya's sudden animated persona draws Mahi's negative prying instincts, while with Zoya it triggers off a sense of good omen from her deity. She gets to work with renewed vigour! ensures she follows all the tips Pooja leaves for her to include all the special touches which would make Aditya's birthday, a statement of her love for her husband. For Zoya, at present time both her and the deceased Pooja shared a similar surge of proving their love for their husbands. However both's expression of spouse related love continues to be under much public conjecture. But for Zoya ,she can give it sincere ,yet forceful promotion to expose the truth which will set both her and Aditya Hooda! Free!
Where Sakshi's sweet mixture of Aditya Pooja bond of memories bears no fruition. Zoya at another place, in another way works to making the dead Pooja's wishes true by organising a collage about the birthday boy ! Strange how almost incredible events can lead to either make or break some broken heart! But it would be a shame not to try to attempt redemption of a lost soul. Zoya appears to be handpicked by the deities to restore smiles upon morose faces!
Gathering evidence for a patchwork of Adi's current pictures, is great fun to watch. Under cover work to create a surprise is laborious, yet fun exercise for Zoya. Surreptitiously she hides and clicks Adi s poses and he spots her queer moves and suspects, not only is the stupid women high ,but is probably up to no good! The scenes between them are comic but highlight how both Aditya and Zoya find excuses to crawl out of their bereavements courtesy of each other!
Zoya is no good at putting up an act! spilling coffee on Adi strips both of them out of pretence. He actually strips to tease a few sincere shy giggles out of Zoya as her punishment for soiling him! Zoya manages to make him shed his old self! His previous apparel! and change into pristine white. unblemished white shirt!! This cannot be a coincidence that while their spouses were wary of the colour white... Zoya and Aditya spontaneously declare their preference to the colour white out of all other hues. Does this then signify a certain purity, cleanliness, in their inherent characteristic traits. Loyal to the hilt, not easily given into betraying people or relationships??
But dark deeds conspire to bury the truth against bothAditya and Zoya.Ashish too, reports to someone unknown from Hooda house..
Aditya's comic side knows no end. He goes along with Zoya's strange interest in his body, top to toe! he ties the end of her yellow, haldi coloured veil upon his wrist and half teasingly offers to be her willing captive ! Its a sunny, bright sign of good things yet to come to both of them. Destiny who knows? conspires to get these two together. The episode outlines, both have in each, what it takes to lighten, calm and even make each other smile..
Aditya is not the only person to whom Zoya gifts reasons to smile. At the orphanage she manages to make a heartbroken mother Sakshi smile and restore her faith. That goodness and compassion is not dead in this cruel world. Sakshi realizes that this young total stranger, strangely appears to be acting as an emissary for her dead daughter Pooja. Was this girl an angel who is sent from the heavens, to celebrate Aditya's birthday on Pooja's behalf? should a grieving mother take solace? That her daughters memory is not defiled as a bad memory? That Pooja's love for Aditya lives on?? Sakshi smiles and wonders about the girl who just made her smile? after ages..
The heart knows, when it spreads happiness.. for in gifting smiles to others, one is sure to receive back smiles in return. both Aditya and Zoya smile and realize they had a good day! they were infected by happiness once again.. together they also bring out a positive chemical reaction! Aditya stripped off his usual grouchy persona, even brings a smile on Arjun's face! it was good to see his brother break into a naughty ear to ear smile! been a while...
