I have just watched the teaser and it looks like a comedy

with some cartoonish exaggerated reaction from Ranbir

what you think ??

It seems like a rip off of Forrest Gump. 😆 😆

An I still maintain go watch Sanjay dutt interviews with Rajeev masand or Anupama Chopra of even Karan Johar on KWK. He doesn't act like that. What ranbir did was the guy from Vaastav or Munnabhai mbbs. Which maybe they were going for I don't know 😆 😆

what I've got from the teaser is Ranbir trying very hard to mimic Sanjay D and failing miserably 😆

I think the trend is cartoonish these days, barbaric clowns, criminals are taste of the town.
did you see how exaggerated cartoonish act of khilji was lapped, and how SLB glorified him in Padma movie.

same happening here, a criminal going to be glorified.

now how cartoonish, clownish ranbir is going to be, it all depends.
hope he doesn't top Khilji act.

That performance may have been over the top. But that films tone was one of drama/romance

This fills seems like a comedy. Nothing funny about Terrorism

No, although it's too early to say about the tone of the movie, I don't think it's a comedy.

I think it is like a narrative.. some narratives are in light-heart, kind of like when we talk about our past in light-hearted(not humorous, humor or comedy is different) way so that it doesn't look serious and heavy, I think that is what it is.. I'm not finding a word for this tone/style of narration..

Though iam not sanju's fan but i feel bad cos what ranbir is doing is plain mockery of his acting !! Tbh i thought he will nail it with his oscar worthy acting but sorry he failed it !

And the irony is hirani saying this is not ranbir comeback but but hirani need a comeback to give his usual blockbusters after giving ranbir's W*F mockery acting on audience !

The teaser made the film look like a caricature of Sanjay's life. But guessing from the moments they showed towards the end, darker things are in store.

So it's probably intended to be laced with dark humour, I hope. Doesn't look very promising from the choppy teaser though.

I hope no kind of glorification of Sanju occurs in the film. The biopic of a man with questionable morals cannot be treated with light-hearted humour, whatever Hirani's 'style' of filmmaking may be.
