Also hearing that the shooting for #KALANK might begin tomorrow or sometime in a week, (I am not sure about it though). This is the same #Shidhat project. Karan Johar recently locked this title as it's the same name that Yash Johar had thought of the film when he was alive. [2/2]

This sounds so interesting! Hope it'll be authentic to the period it showcases. MD & Dutt? Now that's a casting coup! ARK & Sona will look gorgeous together! And Dhawan-Aloo chemistry makes many things so enjoyable.

^^Lol me too! Am actually shocked. Hope she doesn't bother befriending him, he swings between being nice to her & being extremely sexist & patronising! But I reckon that's just Dutt being Dutt.

Madhuri had incredible chemistry with Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Now she is doing movies with both, it would be interesting to relive the same.

I don't like this name. Shiddat sounded so much better.
Surprised at Karan casting Sonakshi. I was wondering just the other day where she has disappeared.
I like both Varun and Alia but am kinda sick of them together.

Im stunned at Madhuri agreeing to do a movie with Sanju! 😲 Who would have thought this would happen someday..

But its really professional if they manage to behave civilly with each other after their past history

Such a huge starcast, concept reminds me of the serial Buniyaad, starting from Pre-partition era, going thru generations of same family and coming to the present.

Was announced last year.

Nadiadwala & Kjo wanted to bring Varun in this massive role. Kalank will be term to define his character. This film was planned years ago with SRK, Ajay Devgn, Kajol & Rani. But now it's been rewritten for a year by Abhi Varman. Yash Johar had chosen the name Kalank hence they chose to keep it here. Set in 1930's. Abhi Varman actually proven to be a good director with 2 States and hence Kjo gave this to him over Karan Malhotra who's jumped onto YRF team now. Pritam's doing the music.

Shooting starts tomorrow. Poster will be out soon too
