October opening day collection + My analysis

#October has a slow start... Biz will have to witness miraculous growth over the weekend + maintain a strong trend on weekdays to leave a mark... Word of mouth is extremely mixed... Fri 5.04 cr. India biz.

My Analysis: October looks set to struggle at the box office. The opening day is poor, and although Taran has stated the WOM is "extremely mixed," I would say that it is Negative, from what I have observed. Critics and viewers that frequent cinema websites online may have loved the film, but the ground reality amongst the general public is the opposite!

I had predicted 45 crore nett lifetime collections and Flop verdict before the film released. As things stand now, the film looks like it will finish with lifetime collections in the range of 25-30 crore nett with Flop verdict.

With that said, this does NOT affect Varun's star power. This was a niche film, not his typical commercial film that would bring the audience to cinema halls in hordes! He is an established star, and one niche film won't change that.
