Bhalla Kitchen:

Pihu is impatiently waiting for Raman and Ishita. She is twiddling her fingers and every few seconds leaning to look at the main door. It's been over 30 minutes since Raman left and Pihu has been on the edge of her seat the entire time.

Aliya, Adi and Ruhi are standing in the kitchen. While Raman has been away they decided to make something sweet to celebrate later. Today Ruhi wanted to make something special- especially for Ishita. She felt that Ishita needed some kind of motivation to boost her morale so that she doesn't lose hope and she had the perfect idea to show her Ishimaa the big picture. Ruhi looked up a quick and easy microwave recipe and she felt very proud that she managed to make the dish creating very little mess in the kitchen. Aliya was also working in the kitchen making sambhar to go with the dosas. Adi was casually standing in the kitchen and annoying Ruhi and Aliya with his "expert comments" on their cooking.

Adi turned to look at Pihu who was sitting on the dining table but her eyes were glued to the main door.

Adi: Ruhi tera ban gaya na?

Ruhi: Haan! Dekho kaisa lag raha hai?

Adi: Dikh toh accha raha hai but looks can be deceiving after all!! Asli sacchai toh taste karne pe pata chalega.

Ruhi rolls her eyes at Adi and Adi nods his head at her pointing towards Pihu. Ruhi looks towards Pihu and sees that she is very restless. Both Adi and Ruhi walk to the dining table and Adi pulls up a chair to Pihu's left and Ruhi to her right. They both sit down. Pihu finally takes her eyes off the main door and looks at both of them.

Pihu: Finally I have company. Milke door ko dekhte hain. Shayad woh dono jaldi aa jaye!!

Adi: Woh toh aa jayenge Pihu but aap itne pareshan kyu ho?

Pihu: I'm worried kyunki agar Papa Ishimaa ko mana nahin paye toh?? Papa kitne change ho gaye hai- pehle hamesha pyaar se Ishimaa ko manate the but aaj kal only fighting karte hai. Unhone wahan jake phir fighting kar liya hoga toh?

Ruhi: Nahin karenge woh aaj koi bhi fighting. Kyunki Papa apne Pihu princess se bahut bahut pyaar karte hai. Isliye woh koi gadbad nahin karenge is baar.

Pihu nods and looks at Adi and Ruhi sadly.

Adi: Pihu! Tumhein toh khush hona chahiye ki Papa tumse itna pyaar karteein hai. Tum sad kyun ho? Lagta hai kuch zada hi bhook lagi hai tumhein isliye jahan khush hona chahiye wahan aise sad ho ke baithi ho.

Pihu: Nahin bhaiya mujhe bhook nahin lagi hai. Main sad isliye hun ki Papa sirf mujhe pyaar karte hain- aap dono ko nahin...

Ruhi and Adi look at each other and then at Pihu not knowing what to say.

Ruhi: Pihu aisa nahi hai ki woh pyaar nahin karte bus woh bhool gaye hain.

Pihu: Jab tak Ishimaa mujhe wapas le ke nahin aai thi tab woh mujhe bhi bhool gaye the and mujhe toh feel hota tha ki mujhse woh ab pyaar nahi karte. Aap dono ko bhi wahin feel hota hoga na.

Adi: Nahin Pihu. Aisa nahin hai. Hum jante hai woh hum dono se aur Ishimaa se kitna pyaar karte hain. Isliye toh hume itni hopes hai ki woh thik ho jayenge.

Pihu: Aap jhoot bol rahe ho. Maine thodi der pehle aap dono ki baatein sun li thi. Mujhe sab pata hai so aapko mere samne pretend karne ki zaroorat nahin hai. Mujhe bhi jab main hostel mein thi aisa hi feel hota tha. Isliye mujhse better aap dono ko aur koi nahin samajh sakta. And I am very sorry. Yeh sab meri wajah se ho raha hai. Aap dono please mujhe maaf kar do. Mujhse please kabhi gussa mat hona please. Main aap dono se bahut pyaar karti hun. Aap world ke best bhaiya-didi ho aur hopefully mera love abhi ke liye aapke liye enough hoga jab tak papa thik nahin ho jate.

Pihu started crying as she was apologising to both of them. Adi and Ruhi are stunned and a little confused. Ruhi lifts Pihu up from her chair and makes her sit on her lap and Adi shifts and sits on the chair that Pihu has just vacated so that he is next to her.

Ruhi: Pihu! Baccha chalo first stop crying! Yeh kaisi baatein kar rahi ho tum? Tumhari wajah se kuch nahin hua hai. Tumhein sorry bolne ki koi zaroorat nahin ok. Hum dono tumse bahut pyaar karte hai aur tumse kabhi gussa nahin ho sakte... haan kuch gadbad karogi toh naraz zaroor honge but yeh toh hamara kam hai na... tum sirf Papa ki nahin hum sab ki princess ho... pata hai tum is world mein aao iske liye humne kitna wish kiya tha...God se kitna pray kiya tha... toh jisse humne God se itni shiddat se manga hai socho hum usse kitna pyaar karte hai!

Adi was glad that Ruhi consoled her but he was very concerned seeing Pihu's guilt. He could not understand the reason behind it but he felt that something is eating her up from inside which is why at times she gets scared and goes quiet all of a sudden- which isn't good for such a Young girl.

Adi: But Pihu sab baat toh theek hai lekin ek bat mujhe samjhao... tumhein kyun lagta hai ki sab tumhari wajah se ho raha hai? Tum sorry kyun bol rahi ho?

Pihu had gotten so emotional that she hadn't realised what she was saying at first. Now she knew she must cover up quickly after all she has promised Ishimaa to keep their secret safe at all costs.

Pihu: Woh... ummm...

Ruhi: Bolo na Pihu... kya baat hai?

Pihu: Woh actually pehle main hostel mein thi na toh Papa apne teeno bachon ko bhul gaye the. Phir Ishimaa mujhe wapas lai Papa ke pass aur woh mujhe waise hi love karne lage jaise papas apne daughters ko karte hai. Jab main nahin thi toh aap log ko utna realise nahin hota hoga na ki aap kya miss kar rahe ho but ab mujhe aur papa ko dekh ke aapko zada realise hota hoga na ki aap kya miss kar rahe ho. Isliye mujhe bura lagta hai aur iske liye main hi responsible hoon na that's why I'm sorry.

Adi: Pihu tum pagal ho kya? Dobara yeh sab sochna bhi mat ok. Tum soch nahi sakti humein kitni khushi hoti hai tumhein aur Papa ko sath dekh kar...humein kitna accha lagta hai. At least humein yeh toh dekhne ko mila ki chahe woh humein bhool gaye ho woh apne bacche se pyaar karna nahin bhoole hain. So tumhein sorry nahin infact humein tumhe thank you bolna chahiye kyunki tumhari aane se hi humein pata chala ki is Mr. Raman Bhalla mein abhi bhi kahin hamare Papa zinda hai... samjhi?!?

Adi then tickles Pihu gently to make her laugh. Ruhi wipes her tears away and kisses her on her cheeks and starts joking around to make her laugh.

Adi looks at Pihu intently. He thinks he knows his little sister very well and he knows she is lying. There is something else that is bothering her which she isn't telling. He vows to get to the bottom of this because he can't see Pihu suffering like this.

Just then the main door opens and Raman and Ishita walk. Both of them are smiling.

Pihu sees them and is thrilled beyond words. Pihu jumps off Ruhi's lap and runs to Ishita and gives Ishita a big hug! Adi and Ruhi give each other a high five because Mission Pihu worked. Aliya looks at Adi and winks at him.

Ishita wraps Pihu in a big hug and gives her a warm, affectionate kiss on her forehead. Raman smiles seeing them both together.

Pihu: Yay! Ishita Aunty aap aa gai! Thank you Papa!!

Ishita: Kaise nahin aati? Meri Pihu ko mujhse jo milna tha!

Pihu makes a silly face at her to show fake annoyance at Ishita.

Pihu: Hauh! Jhooth! Jab morning mein Pihu aapse milne aai thi toh aapne thik se baat bhi nahin ki. Aap yahan Papa ke liye aaye ho na... mere liye nahin...

Raman and Ishita exchange a quick look and Pihu's eyes dance with mischief.

Ishita: Tumhare Papa bhi toh mujhe tumse milaane ke liye bulane aaye the na. So main toh bus Pihu ke liye aai hoon. Lekin agar Pihu ko aisa lagta hai ki main uske Papa ke liye aai hoon toh thik hai mai ghar wapas chali jati hoon.

Although Pihu also knows that Ishita is just pretending and teasing her she acts all worried and gets dramatic like the actors in her favourite show Sajan Ka Sasural do.

Pihu: Please!! Please!! Please!! Mujhe chod ke mat jao!! Main aapke aage hath jodti hoon...

Ishita laughs out a hearty laugh and pats Pihu's cheeks lovingly.

Ishita: Shaitaan! Drame kabhi khatam nahin honge na tumhare.

Raman is amazed to see their bonding. He thinks that if a stranger were to see them together he'd instantly get convinced that they are mother and daughter...

Pihu grabs Ishita's hand and start pulling her towards the dining table.

Pihu: Ishita Aunty aap please chalo jaldi! Aapke liye ek surprise hai...

Ishita: Haan kuch surprise ki udti udti khabar mere pass bhi aai thi...

Ishita turns back a little to look at Raman with a smile on her face. Raman is walking a little behind Ishita who is being dragged by Pihu. Raman's heart skips a beat on seeing her look back at him with a smile on her face. She has always had this effect on him.

Pihu makes Ishita sit on the dining table. She turns around to look at Raman and signs him to sit next to Ishita.

Ishita is looking at Ruhi, Adi and Aliya and trying to silently ask them with her eyes what is going on. But the three of them just look at her, smile and shake their head saying that they won't tell her anything. Raman comes and sits next to Ishita. Once he sits he leans a little forward and places both his arms on the table as he is silently observing Ishita trying to get information out of Ruhi, Adi and Aliya. He is amazed once again to see such strong resemblance between Pihu and her for Pihu would also behave just like her if she were given a surprise- he still remembers Pihu's excitement during the Christmas party they had not a very long while ago.

Pihu stands behind Ishita and closes her eyes from behind. Ishita is startled and as a reflex she grabs hold of Raman's arm- a little below his elbow. Her touch is so soft and gentle that once again a warmth spreads across Raman's body. Raman has an overwhelming urge to place his other hand on top of hers but he stops himself.

Pihu: Ishita Aunty aapko kuch dikh raha hai kya?

Ishita shakes her head indicating she can't see anything. Ruhi, Adi and Aliya quickly bring the dosas and sambhar bowls and place them in front of Ishita. Pihu then removes her hand from Ishita's eyes and sits on the chair on the opposite side of the dining table so that she is facing Raman and Ishita.

Pihu: Ok! Ab aakhein kholo.

Ishita opens her eyes. She sees Pihu, Adi, Aliya and Ruhi sitting across on the other side of the dining table and smiling at her. She then looks to her side at Raman and through her eyes asks him what the surprise is. Raman smiles and nods his head towards the dining table. Ishita looks down at the dining table and is surprised to see dosas and sambhar. Though she notices the dosas look a bit misshapen, raw at some places and burnt at other places. She looks up to them in confusion...

Ishita: Yeh dosas ko kya ho Gaya? Maine toh morning mein jab dosas banaye the woh aise nahin the... phir yeh kaise ho gaya?

Ishita looks at Raman and he just shrugs...

Pihu: Aunty yeh woh dosas nahin hai jo aapne bheje woh toh Papa...

Raman quickly interrupts Pihu:

Raman: Woh toh maine infact hum sab ne breakfast mein kha liya... maine kaha tha na tumse Ishita ki main sabko bata dunga. Toh humne woh breakfast main hi saaf kar diya... haina Pihu...

Pihu, Adi and Ruhi nod in agreement towards Ishita. They play along with Raman because they know she will be very hurt if she finds out how Raman in his anger disrespected the food she had sent.

Pihu: Yeh 'I am sorry dosas' hai...

Ishita is confused and looks at them not understanding anything.

Ruhi: Ishita Ji, Aaj kisi ne aapko sorry bola hai kya?

Ishita looks sideways at Raman and then looks back at Ruhi.

Ishita: Haan...

Adi: Kisi chothi galti ke liye sorry bola ya koi badi baat thi?

Once again Ishita looks sideways at Raman and then looks back at Adi.

Ishita: Baat toh chothi nahin thi...

Aliya: Agar aisi baat hai toh sirf sorry se baat nahin banegi na...

For the third time Ishita looks sideways at Raman and then looks back at Aliya.

Ishita: Haan woh toh hai par...

Pihu: Oh ho Ishita Aunty!! Itne clues de diye aap phir bhi guess nahin kar paye ki Papa ne specially aapke liye dosas banaye hai aapko sorry bolne ke liye!

Ishita turns to look at Raman. She had not expected something like this in her wildest Dreams and she is thrilled beyond words.

Ishita: Aapne... mere liye?!?

Raman gives her a hesitant smile, nods and looks into her eyes. She let's out a gasp showing her surprise. Ishita's hand was still on Raman's arm and she squeezed his arm affectionately trying to convey all her happiness and gratitude through both her eyes and her touch. For once Raman felt that he is able to understand every single word that Ishita is trying to say through both her eyes and hands. Ishita doesn't realise when tears of happiness start flowing out of her eyes. Raman notices her tears and without breaking eye contact with her he raises his other hand and wipes her tears away.
