The show was strangled along time ago. I now watch as a completely different drama altogether and that attitude has helped me watch it just as a viewer and not someone emotionally invested and sensitive.
Regardless, Kanak is not agreeing to marry Akshay to really move on. She considers Bhabho s happiness over hers any day and she is doing this for her. She is also doing this to show Uma and Meera that she is moving on in her life after Uma threw her out and told her to move on. If she really wanted to move on she would have in the last two years of separation!
I definitely don't think this track is the best that CWs have come up with but to me it makes more sense than al, the others! The baaal Brahma chari track, Massi sa becoming from patron to vengeful mom wanna be to evil don never made sense to me despite very good acting on Sadia gis part! The whole BAnkok track was visually sweet but nonsensical. But this makes all the sense even though Kanum are not together and the show is missing its heart beat, Kanum. The jealous and powerful wife, the love sweethearts that are separated with misunderstandings, and secret sacrifice the hero made, the villain joker that adds fuel to fire and the other handsome guy for our lonely and betrayed heroine; all seems much like every other soaps/ drama story and yet still makes sense. Monotonous but believable !
