Some Random Musings on Current Track

Oftentimes in our life, we fall into this pit of goallessness, sometimes owing to circumstances and sometimes as a result of our own faulty choices.

To start with, Sameer's life in Nainital and Ahemdabad had never had a goal. He lived a frivolous life of a faithful friend in Nainital as well. That was his identity. Here in Ahemdabad too, he had no objective per se in mind when he joined Naina's school. Luckily, he found real and loyal friends in Munna and Pandit but he was wasting his life here as well and living a dream of a life in care and luxury of his Nanu, till Naina fell in love with him and things took an unwanted turn in his life; the consequences of his revenge-ridden actions he never thought about.

The whole headboy competition with Rohan was a good smalltime goal that he sincerely wanted to achieve, but just to defeat Rohan and prove his step father wrong. Here again he swayed from his goal of achieving something worthwhile and real due to his reputation and inexperience. And this time Naina became his prime enemy, a friend turned foe.

So the life of young and carefree Sameer Maheshwari took a wrong path again but thankfully it ended at a correct destination. In the process, he learnt the value of relationships, love, a bit about taking responsibility and being mature in adverse circumstances. Every now and then, Naina has brought out that responsible Sameer.

So undoubtedly, his biggest achievement till date is winning Naina's love, trust, and devotion and of which his Nanu was immensely proud.

His nanu had in his sight his goals, his future and hence had suggested him to join his factory.

Really, Sameer Maheshwari is a shortsighted person when it comes to his goals and future and is in constant need of a mentor, guide and/or counsellor in his life.

And who can be a better guide at this juncture of his life than his mother? But clearly Vishakha lacks that foresightedness that Nanu had for Sameer. His Nanu had hoped that both Vishakha and Naina will keep him on his correct path, but alas that could not happen. Thank God Rohan has his Dadi and father to keep him focussed on his goals, otherwise Vishakha is hopeless.

Right now someone really needs to remind Sameer of his Nanu's last wishes. This idleness and having no goal in life has resulted in boredom and he is on verge of again swaying away from his correct path.

Rohan's kind of fun might not interest Sameer, but this kinda lack of activity in life and nonbonding with ppl around of his age can really lead anyone to one's wit's end.

Clearly, this Sameer Maheshwari represents that goalless aimless idle bored youth of each era, who for lack of right guidance can easily take for worst.

So there is an interesting situation here in Sameer's life and the CVs have presented us with an interesting problem. Will Naina b able to bring that Sameer back? Would she be able guide him to his correct path through her presence or circumstance perhaps?

I hope that with Naina back in his life again, he is able to find himself back and that, most importantly, Naina doesnt lose that trust in him.

We have seen this cliched situation many times in many shows, but this show is different so i m interested in knowing how CVs handle this here.

Till then, see you guys.

Will b back with my musings when there is some interesting offering.

But i dont understand, WHY SAMEER IS NOT GOING TO SCHOOL YET????
As per his step dad admission is done, only fees submission is pending.
Rohan and Deepika are going to school, that means school is not closed for holidays or anything like that...

Why this unnecessary delay?
just for the sake of showing Sameer getting involved with rowdy guys?

Not happening.

that is a technical issue/glitch/blooper at CVs end.. I normally don't focus on implementation details, I focus on end result...

I don't bother too much about details.. (read logic) in a show 😆..

So I ignore such things and relish on the storyline and characters, which is why I watch this show anyways.. so why waste time on unnecessary things - that is my thinking..😳

so I m so sorry I cannot answer ur query.. as only CVs can answer why thy did.. what thy did . 😆

Very good post!!

I have been stating this for a while... the aimlessness of the boy...that is the spadework done by the CVs in the episodes...from the start..We seem to minutely analyse Naina but we overlook Sameer's traits largely becos we see a strong causation for it. Yet even if we accept the causes, it will not change the consequences... that Sameer is pulled into the vortex ( very normal for kids at that age who lack guidance from elders). The support and love of peers is important at this stage but also the acceptance from a wider circle, which includes family ties.
Nanu gave Sameer a lot of encouragement yet his ability to influence him to choose an aim was limited. Understandably, Nanu would have had to prioritise providing love over disciplining Sameer.

Lest I be misunderstood, I feel this is a natural occurrence in this age. I accept that the track showing alienation of Sameer in Delhi has been poorly written but as a viewer I can see the pendulum of emotions swaying . Sam is torn between wanting to be responsible and his own propensity for not being focused ( frankly I don't know why he hasn't joined school yet 😕 ) As we can see, two things are happening, he is befriending some wayward folks and on the other hand he is trying to be responsible at home. However the two are divergent paths and collision can be painful. Imagine a scenario where his offer to take responsibility unfortunately takes a difficult turn...will Sam have the maturity to decode what caused what? From his perspective, he is likely to assume that his good deeds are misunderstood and that may lead him further into that dark alley.

Anyone having the experience of dealing with recalcitrant behaviour can tell that the cause and effect is most difficult to articulate as perspectives tend to muddled about what was the cause and what was the effect...

Very nicely articulated. The most important point you is "Right now someone really needs to remind Sameer of his Nanu's last wishes." At the time of nanu's death there were four people around him - mundit, vishakha and somani...
Would be nice to see who would remind him and when??

I have been primarily a fan of CVs work on both the lead characters.. they have showcased their growth and handled their complexity and varying shades of personality beautifully till now..

broadly we have a carefree Sameer and a dedicated Naina..

in the layer underneath, we have an intense complex motherless kid and a romantic devoted fun loving Naina..

There is no single cause or reason for Sameer's behavior. Thy have shaped him such. But eventually, he is made responsible for his actions and he learns that way. He was never a thinker person, always a doer person.[lol] Has he ever thought about the consequences.. 😆

But Nanu's love and encouragement i guess was appropriate, though he didnt forewarn Sameer of life's harsh realities. May b Nanu never imagined that this could ever happen to him which is kind of a bit unfathomable. But I never thought Sameer needed any discipline. His life is guided by love. He steers in the direction he finds love. Where he doesnt, he grapples for his identity and right now he is doing through exploration without much thinking.

Clearly, Sameer was never kind of person who would sit and ponder about life's doings.. also he is not into that that age yet..

but when it comes to Naina, he automatically assumes responsibility.. unfortunately, he is not wise enough to do so for himself.. i think this track is not poorly written.. rather its well thought out... the moment he realizes that Naina's wellbeing and future relies on success of his own future.. he will become the man that we all want to see..

The track has just started.. so we cannot form any conclusions just yet about Sameer's actions.. he might b trying to b responsible.. and keep his promise to Naina.. but situation might make him support them..

As u said, at this age, these things r quite luring.. in fact at any age, temptations/distractions lure u if u r bored..

and i dont think CVs r going to change the intensity of Sameer's character.. thy r going to keep it light and fluffy and romantic.. so no going into that dark alley for him..

As for his conscience, he can differentiate betn what is right and wrong.. otherwise he wudnt have fallen for the goodness of Naina.. tho he learns only after walking that wrong path.. So my trust (and Naina's trust) would lie on his conscience.. eventually he will make the right decision..

regarding different perspectives, i think CVs have already handled that a bit.. things betn Somani-Vishaka and Sameer r getting good.. thy r able to understand each other's POV better and that has brought a pleasant change in Sameer in Delhi..

Bt what happens next is difficult to say.. but i would put my trust on Sameer.. he is good boy at heart and when he sees good genuine ppl, he automatically turns to them. REmember the Aggarwarl household, inspite of Rakesh and Arjun, he saw good in Aggarwal household and formed such true relationships..that Bela chachi almost consideres him as her own son..

I think we should not worry much about this track and enjoy as it comes.. 😳
