So hi guys, I am in love with Harshad and Jen, his angry young man looks, her stupidity dipped in naivety, her utmost belief in what she believes in...
"Ahh! So that's the reason your palm was wrapped up! I never knew that You-Like-Me!", Aditya exclaimed raising his brows as he inspected the heena on his Partner's hand.
Zoya looked away and pulled her hand making him chuckle humorously.
" No need to be embarrassed! Arre when your cheater husband and my wife felt no shame in cheating us, why should you?!" He reasoned and continued, " As a fact, why are we destroying our lives after the likes of them, we are still young and Available-Legally, we should hook up!"
Her eyes widened and mouth went agape. She tried to intervene but he was quick.
" You...Like Me and I think I'll manage with you too! Yeah I know you are a bit dumb...no..actually you are the dumbest person ever but I'll make do!" He slurred and faltered in his steps, falling towards her. But his strong biceps came to her defence as he balanced himself by holding onto the table.
"You are drunk!" She spoke moving her face away from his.
He leaned back and chuckled, " You should try too! Usually alcohol makes people delirious but since your entire life is a delusion, maybe...just maybe alcohol will help your brain process the reality!"
"Humein aapse behas karne mein koi dilchaspi nhi hai!" She announced and turned to the files on table.
He shrugged his shoulders and started leaving. Zoya's respite was short lived when she heard a crash sound and turned around to find Mr. Hooda leaning against the wall with a broken vase scattered on the floor. He stood on his limbs yet again and moved forward but failed miserably and started falling backwards. Zoya ran to his rescue and looped her hands under his shoulders from backside to break his fall. He looked at the palms on his chest and slowly turned his neck by side. Hazel met brown, full of disbelief..
Man, he looked pathetic. And what could be worse than being supported by the woman who indirectly was the cause of his situation! And no less than the Great Dumb Sheltered Zoya...Arora..
He straightened himself away and dusting his coat off walked away.
"Ya Allah! Give Aditya the strength to sail through these tough times..."
2 hours later, at 11'0 when zoya was leaving the office, she found Aditya dozing off on the floor.
" Mr. Hooda..." She called to him but to no avail.
Thus she leaned closer and poked his shoulders in a bid to bring him back to the world of living.
"Let me sleep Pooja", he murmured swatting her fingers away.
Zoya sighed and sprinkled a few drops of water on his face.
Adi murmured gibberish and wiping his face, groggily opened his eyes.
And the first thing he saw was... Zoya.
He bolted into an upright position and shook his head furiously to come out of his daze. And with his brains working again, he steadied himself and started to leave.
" Cab will leave you home"
He was stepping down the stairs when he stopped and whispered, " I don't need your favour!"
And he missteped, colliding against the cab.
" Aditya...aap theek hai?" Zoya asked rushing over.
" of course, I am happy and healthy ", he replied sarcastically.
" Bhaiya, please help the sir into the car" she requested as cab driver stepped outside.
Aditya face palmed him and glared her way.
" Are you deaf or you don't understand English? I don't need your favour!"
" I am not doing you a favour, I am just repaying it...you did help me that day!" Zoya stuttered as he leaned against the cab.
"I am impressed. You are not that dumb afterall!" He whispered leaning closer and slipped into the cab.
Zoya joined him too. She didn't want him falling into unnecessary trouble especially when he was unable to fend for himself.
Zoya followed suit as Aditya slowly tottered towards his house, like a daisy swaying with the wind.
" Are you stalking me?" He asked humorously.
" I'll leave once you enter inside", she replied.
" I am not the one who needs a babysitter", he chuckled.
They continued walking in silence when Adi tripped over a pebble but courtesy of Zoya, survived falling on his front. Carefully Zoya looped his arm around her shoulder and wrapping her hands across his torso, helped him walk in an upright manner. He continued to stare at her without batting an eyelash. He was totally and utterly wasted.
As soon as they enterred inside the gate, a voice stopped them.
" So the Prince is back!"
Zoya looked on as a man in his 50s ascended down the stairs with a scowl decorating his features.
"Had fun?" Harsh asked looking at Zoya.
Aditya followed his eyes and his nostrils flared. Unhooking his arms, he moved bw zoya and his father.
" None of your business, Mr. Hooda"
" See! That's the way your son is talking to me...his father ".
Aditya craned his neck to see his mother emerging from the shadows.
" You are here, too...wait! It's a combo!" He exclaimed surprised and turning back to zoya, held her wrist and pulled her towards his mother.
"You both are birds of the same feather, might as well have a chat!"
Zoya pulled her hand away and asked, " Is that the way to talk to your parents?"
" Your tongue works only against me, right?"
" For God's sake, can you not start another argument, Now?" Zoya pleaded.
" I don't believe in god...and don't even bother to take my parent's or Her name" he gritted his teeth.
" Please, kya aap hamari khaatir ab bas karenge!?"
"Vese toh main tumhari khaatir kuch bhi na karu..." He asked getting closer.
" Par kyunki pehli baar, Tumne apne uss cheater pati ko chodkar apne baare mein socha, I'll oblige, happily!" He announced and looped his arms across her shoulders yet again.
As they startled walking away, zoya halted and turned to Harsh.
" It's not my place to interfere but that condescending look in your eyes will do nothing to relieve him of his pain".
Aditya's eyes widened in disbelief.
'Did she take a stand for him?'
'Did she take a stand against Him?'
As Zoya laid Adi on the bed, he went into deep sleep.
" I've finally found the way to prevent your son and this family from downfall" Harsh whispered seeing Zoya walk away.
