Can't say I like any of his films. I guess the only one I thought was alright was My Name is Khan. What are your thoughts?

He has good taste when it comes to music... most of his films has excellent music.. not to mention locale and styling of actors is always spot on...

Rest.. same as other directors... he is definitely not in the league of Raju Hirani, Vishal B, Shoojit S etc. But then most of his movies make money

I agree with Hitchhiker - he has a good taste in music, and the way he directs his songs is good. Take any video song from KJo's movies - they're good in arrangment, setting and visual appeal.. Very bollywood-y 😃 ..his 'presentation' of things in movies is very much like glamorous BW..

As for directorship, I have a soft corner for him, that's all ☺️

Well KJo movies are usually high on drama and emotions and low on logic. I do have to admit that on a rainy day, I do like to watch some of his films as a guilty pleasure. I've watched K3G and KKHH so many times. They remain a few of my most watched films even though the plots are highly flawed.He does well in his own genre which is the popcorn drama with lots of songs and mostly rich people. He can't do anything else though.

He is a good popcorn movie director. Romance, comedy, family drama are his strengths. Things get a little shaky when he ventures into serious stuff, like MNIK, or even KANK. And of course he has got a great ear for good music.

So yes indeed he is a good director.

i love kkhh and k3g, they are such fun family movies, i can watch them again and again, i also liked my name is khan and thought it was about a very important message

but adhm and kank i did not enjoy, yeh they hav nice songs gud actors and nice locations, but the stories were just too non believable, the characters were not relatable, i just kept thinking to myself 'wat is going on?' in many scenes
