R ecently, and Aamir Ali Sanjeeda Sheikh danced at an awards function.. after it wrapped up. The duo was to perform right at the end of the Balaji Telefilms' Global TV Hon- ours. However, since the rest of the show stretched too long, it had to be cancelled. Better late than never Ali explains that the deadline for the event was 10 p m after which the cops stormed in. Once the audience and the cops had left, Ali and Sheikh performed for the 'post shot' at the venue for the TV telecast. Ali says that he would have loved to perform to a live audience. "But what matters are the two crore people who will watch the Honours on television," he says. No awards please Ask him if he feels bad about having been left out in the awards.. Ali wasn't even nominated for one. He responds, "No awards for me, I'm going the Aamir Khan way!" The actor adds that he has already received the most important award of all: the viewers' votes for Nach Baliye 3 that he won along with Sheikh late last year. "It's okay if my characters don't win awards.. at least I won something," he grins.
