yes I agree that SV story is simlar to that of Ramji and Sita Mata. The others too make sense. I like the fact SV stuck together and did not end up with others. It makes the show way better than others on televison today.

Ross and Rachel (Friends)

Ok.. I had to bring this back because in some ways I wanted to relate Ross and Rachel, the perfect on-screen couple of tellywood in the western world to Sagar and Vidya, the perfect on-screen couple of desi tellyland.

I know most of us would not consider their love eternal or legendery but it remains a fact that theirs is one of the best love relationships portrayed on screen. Despite everything that Ross and Rachel went through, their fate kept bringing them closer to each other everytime. Their unsaid or rather unrealized love for each other unknowingly grew stronger each time.

Similarly, Sagar and Vidya have always unknowingly been pushed closer to each other with every situation. The unsaid love that especially Sagar had not realized until the very end connected his heart to hers until the very last moment and even after.

Eventually, Sagar and Vidya HAVE to come back together cuz as Phoebe would have put it, "He's her lobster."

Awesome comparisons 👏 Great job Neha, and Shaili beautifully written!!

Ram-sita, Laila-Majnu, Romeo-Juliet, just beautiful love stories. SV's love story is as eternal as them, there was sooo much love in them for eachother that there are no words to describe it. And unfortunetly all the love stories like SV had always ended in separation...but atleast our SV will be back in a new roop.

Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak:

Thinking about great love stories, I always thought Raj and Rashmi in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (Aamir-Juhi) was one beautiful love story. There was tremendous passion and innocence in Raj and Rashmi and their journey of love. Aamir and Juhi are probably one amazing couple that I'd forgotten all about, their chemistry was simply remarkable. Their characters though different touch the heart's chords equally. Theirs too was a story where their family was against their relationship -- in this case Sindoora. They were just two innocent lovers who just wanted to be together and nothing else like our SV. And though the world lashed and pulled at them from all ends, they died together, side by side. I wouldn't say their love story is legendary, but for me it was one of the best love stories ever told.

Keep smiling..

Love

Soni
