I think in the first episode we saw that Adi is more close to her than his own mother. So no matter how mad he is he can't just hate her. Instead I guess he has stopped going to her. He is avoiding her as much as possible. I am sure if Pooja hadn't cheated on him, he would have been with her 24 hours. Now he just can't look at her without getting reminded that her daughter cheated on him.

It's always easy to hate a stranger. Plus their first encounter wasn't a nice one either. And you are right he probably doesn't want Zoya to become like his mother. He also can't accept to see that Zoya is in denial when she should be as mad as him. She should suffer as much as he is suffering, not just as a widow but also as someone who got cheated by her husband.
