Good or bad, He is for the first time in long time a normal father on TV. Most fathers are very protective of his their daughters. And here he is not too bothered about religion but very suspicious of his SIL. And rightfully so. He is not good enough for his daughter and he knows it. I am not saying he is right but he is typical father ... so fed up watching all the Alok Nath style papas on TV. Who doesnt play any role in his kids life but just praise her all the time and give ashirwad :P

As for killing Yash... I think they are just creating mystery here. They obviously want to keep us gripped ... Zoya's fathers suspicious behaviou and Adi's father's too ... eventually they will reveal a totally unsuspecting character as the mastermind :P
