How about this people? This is a tinfoil theory 😉
- There is no mention of Yash's dad anywhere (at least so far!) and his mom is dressed in colorful clothes and a bindi (that is in no way a sign, I know, but Yash's mother looks like a woman who would wear no bindi if she was a widow, no offence to anyone guys). So, based on this, it looks like the father is alive.
- Now, what if that guy was Daddy Hooda who has had an affair that we are sure of. So, that would make sense if Pooja learned of that relationship and the kids from it and looking at how close she was to Adi's younger bro, she may have extended the same courtesy to his other half-bro, Yash. She may not have met the mom/sis yet. She has excellent reason to hide that from her hubby as Adi may not have taken a half-bro and sis into the family open-heartedly. That would explain the diary that Hooda was looking for. And Yash also would have wanted to discuss with his mama/sister about this development first before discussing with Zoya.
- At the shamshaan ghat, due to her grief, Mama Yash may not have seen Daddy Hooda standing there and he may not have noticed either. But it would have been a damn giveaway if the showrunners showed them acknowledging each other and we would all have got to know something fishy! For all you know, he may not been in touch with the other woman and other kids as he does seem to be a loser who will do things like that.
- I did mention earlier that I do not think Pooja was cheating but Yash surely was. That would explain the ring. And it is possible he was spending money on some woman for which his sister accused Zoya instead. Zoya will be rudely awakened to the truth later about her cheating hubby and Adi will humbly accept his mistake on misunderstanding his innocent wife.
