That shock in his eyes said everything! The one question he kept asking the woman who looked just like Avni! Koun ho tum? I thought that was very telling, coz Who is this woman who looks like Avni but can't really be her coz HIS Avni will never betray him! This is the biggest issue here! The betrayal and the lie that took her out of his life! It isn't a simple thing!
In Neil's shoes, I don't know what I'd do! This is not a easy thing to overcome! He lived with the memories of a perfect love. A love that could sacrifice all for him. A love that would never leave him by choice! She said she'd always be with him, love him till her last breath! He thought that is what she did! Vidyut told him that Avni refused to let go of him, to leave him for Vidyut and in a fit of rage he pushed her into the fire! As far as Neil was concerned she scarified herself rather than betray their love!
But what is this reality? She disappeared and she was never dead! She chose to leave, and chose to move away from him! Losing her was not his choice! Leaving him was hers! That's what he is seeing right now! That she was able to live without him. Start a new life, prioritise other people! (The kids). She has a new name, a new identity! Here he was dying for a glimpse of her! Here she was hiding from him all the time! Even when she knew he was right there!
How is he supposed to feel about this? I can relate to his pain, to his betrayal! I can relate to his agony! His sense of being let down and duped in the worst way! How much of a fool he must feel right now. We know why she did this! But even knowing it won't be enough for Neil. How can he trust her again? My heart breaks for him! Zain was amazing! He showed how Neil felt! How he shattered to a million pieces. His eyes spoke volumes, even before his lips spoke any words! What you saw in his eyes was beyond pain or shock or disbelief. You can't actually describe the feeling in words! You can only FEEL it!
The AVNEIL scenes were truly amazing. Loved the whole sequence! I can see some serious angst and drama coming up! This bitter Neil won't just accept what Avni says to him! This road back to being AvNeil isn't going to be an easy one! As willian Shakespeare said:
The path to true love never did run smooth!
