There's a lyric in the song that goes - Koi unko jaake kaho...Isnt it supposed to be - Koi unko jaake kahe? Or maybe my Hindi is weak 😆

Is it grammatically correct though?...everytime I hear it I cringe a little...it just sounds a bit wrong lol

I think you are right, "koi unko jaake kahe" sounds grammatically right and polite

I think Baam might be right there...kahoo is more firm and more like telling someone...kahe is more of a wish...however both can be right so its not grammar issue

many times even wish can be express in less polite word and friends can be addressed in such manner...

for example tum ...vs aap

main kahin bhi jaatan hun
tum se hi mil jaata hun
tum se hi

main kahn bhi jaata hun
aap se hi mil jaata hun
aap se hi

main kahn bhi jaata hun
tujh se hi mil jaata hun
tujh se hi

they reflect different level of politeness but they can also be reflecting addressing different age, respect of people being addressed...nature of relationship

some girls in their laad and pyaar address Hippo as hippo jaan tum yeh karlo

other girls say hippo jaan aap yeh karl li jiye

then there are some hippo...bhaag yahan se.

anyway Baam is right
