Raman Kumar Bhalla, a very successful lawyer but now hates his profession like anything, was sitting in a bar drinking like there is no tomorrow. He drank and finally passed out. After a while Mihir, his brother like friend, came and took him to the car. Raman was continuously blabbering something or the other. Somehow Mihir made him sit in the passenger seat and he himself settled in the driver seat. Raman was just tapping here and there and by mistake the radio got turned on.

The radio tuned in and the song began.

Abhi mujh mein kahin,
baaki thodi si hai zindagi
Jagi dhadkan nayi,
jaana zinda hoon main to abhi

This song correctly matched his situation. Actually he is just a body without its soul, without his life his jaans, his queen and princess, Ishita and Ruhi.

He smiled remembering them. Mihir saw this and was happy seeing his bhai smiling genuinely after a long time. They reached his house, yeah it was not his home anymore. Mihir supported Raman to his room and made him sleep comfortably, and left the room praying to god to make everything back to normal.

This was his routine nowadays after that most dreadful day. He slipped into an uncomfortable slumber sobbing on his fate.

Flashback

Ishita and Raman studied together in the school. Both were in relationship since then. After 12th he chose BA LLB and she went for BDS, but their relationship was still strong as before. They used to meet sneakily and enjoy their togetherness.

After completing their course both informed their family's about their relationship. Coming from the opposite parts of the country both the families were completely against their relationship. They tried a lot to convince them, but they were determined not to accept MADRASI BAHU and PUNJABI MAPILAI. Without no other go both eloped and got married with the help of Mihir and Mihika (his fianc). This came as a shocker for both the families, and they disowned them.

IshRa settled in Mumbai, away from their family. At first they were guilty for breaking the trust of their parents but then life started moving smoothly. They were so happy in their lil life. Raman began practising in Mumbai High Court while Ishita joined a clinic nearby.

After one year they were blessed with their baby girl, Ruhi. Now their day started with her smile and cute antics.

4 years later:

Everything was going fine until he took up that case, the case which turned his life, his lil world, upside down.

'A five year old girl was raped and brutally murdered by MLA's son.'

This news shook him up, that girl reminded him of his princess. What if the same would have happened to her? Raman hugged Ruhi snuggling her more into him. He decided to take up the case and bring justice for that lil girl.

With the case the threat calls too began. At first they took it lightly but once that MLA's goons tried to kidnap Ishu, he was really tensed about their (IshRu) safety. He asked their families to make IshRu stay with them for a few days but as they were still angry on IshRa and also didn't know the seriousness of the issue didn't agree. The case was on fast track, and Raman was with IshRu most of the time not giving that MLA any chance to harm them. And finally came the date of hearing. Raman proved MLA's son guilty and court declared his punishment.

MLA was hell angry on Raman and warned him that he will make his life hell.

He became so protected about IshRu. Few day passed and that MLA did nothing. Now their life was back on track.

One day Raman received a call that shook him up, he ran out of his office like a mad person. He rushed to the godown told by that person on the phone. His world crashed seeing the sight, Ishita and Ruhi were tied up he could see bruises and dried up blood all over their body and they were unconscious.

Raman shouted "ISHITAAA RUHIII".

Ruhi saw Raman and meekly called him "PAPA". Her eyes beamed in happiness seeing her superman papa.

He turned to the MLA and told, "Please meri biwi aur bacchi ko chod doh. You want to punish me na please unhe chod doh.." he literally fell on that MLA's legs.

MLA "Meine usi din kaha dha ki tum bohot paschathavungi.. mere bete ko jail mein daal diyaana.. abh bukto" and laughed evilly. "Abh dekho mein tumhari biwi and bacchi dono ko tumhare ankhoke samne ek ek karke maarungii."

Raman screamed NO and rushed towards IshRu but goons caught him. He trying to get out of their clutches but couldn't.

MLA walked towards IshRu. He threw water on Ishu's face making her jerk up from her unconscious state. She saw Raman and smilingly whispered "Raman" that he could hear from that distance. At that second, a sudden strong hit from behind, right at the back of her head, she fell unconscious with that smile lingering her lips.

He shouted, "Ishitaaa!!"

That's when he heard a thud sound, he turned only see his princess in a pool blood as the bullet pierced through her head.

He shouted, "Ruhiii!!"
And he too fell unconscious.

Hearing the chaos people rushed towards the godown. They called the ambulance and soon IshRaRu were shifted to hospital. Treatment was going on.

Learning all these Bhallas, Iyers and MiMi came to Mumbai.

Doctors informed that "Mr Bhalla is fine, fainted due to shock.. will gain his senses soon"

But when asked about IshRu he said, "Treatment is still going on. Chances kam hai but we are trying our best."

All cried hearing this. Soon Raman gained sense, he was adamant to see IshRu. He rushed towards the OT. He was sitting outside crying, crying very bitterly.

Both Iyers and Bhallas wanted to console him, assure him and that nothing will happen to his Ishita and Ruhi, but they were guilty. Guilty because if they would had agreed to keep Ishu and Ruhi with them this wouldn't have happened.

Mihir kept his hands on Raman's shoulder. Raman hugged him crying, "Mihir that smile Mihir, My jaan smiled seeing me, even being in so much pain she smiled seeing me,thinking I will save them. I couldn't, I could do nothing, all this happened right in front of my eyes Mihir and I couldn't do anything Mihir. My baby, Ruhi, she was looking at me happily thinking that her superman papa will save her, but I couldn't. They were in this mess because of me. I failed to protect them, I failed as a husband, as a father. They could have killed me instead of doing this to them."

All cried seeing his condition. Doctors came out of the OT. All rushed to him.

Doctor "Mr Bhalla sorry to say both your wife and daughter had slipped into coma."

Raman slumped down hearing this. Mihir held back Raman.

Mihir consoled him, "Bhai sambhalo apne aapko. They are in coma, will come out of it soon. You be strong for them. Don't give up bhai, your love will bring bhabhi and Ruhi back to you."

Ab hai saamne, ise chhoo loon zara
Mar jaaun ya jee loon zara
Khushiyaan choom loon
Ya ro loon zara
Mar jaaun ya jee loon zara

This gave him hope. He daily went to the hospital with a hope that today they will be back to him. He was earning to hear "Ravan Kumar" and "Papa" from them.

One year passed nothing happened. Slowly he was loosing his hope. He resorted to alcohol to kill his loneliness.

Flashback ends...

Morning he received a call from hospital. He rushed to there. Doctor informed that there was slight movement seen in Ruhi and heart beat variation in Ishita . It's a positive sign and they will be normal soon.

This gave him back his hope. He was smiling between his tears. He didn't know how to react. He was just too excited knowing that his tiny lil world will be back soon.

Ho.. dhoop mein jalte hue tann ko,
chhaya ped ki mil gayi
Roothe bachche ki hansi jaise,
phuslaane se phir khil gayi
Kuch aisa hi ab mehsoos dil ko ho raha hai

Few days later, Raman was sitting beside Ruhi and caressing her head when Ruhi suddenly shouted "Mumma" and cried. He called the doctors.

They checked her and said "She is out of coma Mr Bhalla, but is crying for her mother."

Raman rushed inside and hugged her tight, showering kisses all over her tiny face. Lil girl too snuggled more into her papa seeking his warmth. She kept on murmuring "Mumma mumma". He took her near Ishita, Ruhi saw Ishita sleeping with so much wires attached to her, she started jumping from his arms to go to her mumma, to hug her mumma.

But he stopped her and said "Rooh beta mumma is not fine. Don't jump on her babu."

Dor se tooti patang jaisi,
thi yeh zindagani meri
Aaj hoon kal ho mera na ho
Har din thi kahaani meri
Ek bandhan naya peechhe se ab mujhko bulaaye
Aane wale kal ki kyun fikar mujhko sataa jaaye

Ruhi looked at him with her big innocent eyes and said, "I won't disturb her papa. Mein kissi duh toh mumma teek hojayengaa.. Mumma kehti hai meri kissi hi mumma ki medicine hai.. I promise papa mein bass ek hi kissi dongi, won't hurt her. Please.."

Kuch aisi lagan iss lamhe mein hai
Ye lamha kahaan tha mera

Raman's eyes filled hearing her and nodded her head. Ruhi smiled and went near Ishu and kissed her cheeks softly careful enough not to hurt her mumma.

Raman too said holding her hand and kissed her palms, "Abh aur nahi Jaan. Dekho abh Ruhi bhi teek hogayi, tum bhi jaldi teek hojavo"

Abhi mujh mein kahin,

Hoping soon his lil world will be back.
