Kangana : I am a big Modi fan
News18.com Published:March 17, 2018, 9:03 PM IST

Kangana Ranaut, was at her candid best at the News18 Rising India Summit on Saturday.

Here are the top quotes from her session:

On Joining Politics

Personally, I feel politics is a wonderful field. Politics is often misunderstood. But what I don't like is the fashion sense of politicians. Don't mind entering politics if they don't change my fashion sense.

On PM Modi

I am a big Modi fan. We need to have a good role model. Modi's victory was not just his victory. The fact that a chaiwala won is a victory of democracy.

On Nepotism

Nepotism is Karan Johar's way. He doesn't believe in talent. He believes in dynasty and that's okay. As an outsider, I have my way. I will say my point and you can't shut me up. Similarly, we can't tell him how to function, it's what works for him.

Just check the twitter how people are hailing her for removing the so called pseudo nationalists cover facade from bollywood
she doesnt need to do all these to sound akshay kumar

she has been fearless always. she has spoken her heart

and what she said was truth

yeah its a different thing that modi haters and anti nationals are feeling the pinch

social media is just in awe of her

the biggest thing she said was why are people so ashamed to be proud of being indian and stand for national anthem.
she said how she notices garbage in her hometown and cleans it without blaming infrastructure and condition of the state. She says its easy to blame, dont be a guest in your own country. Work for it,

well done kangana for being proud to call herself an indian first than an artist

other things said

Why are you ashamed of your nation. When Americans stand up to the national anthem, they do it with hands on their heart. Why are we ashamed to do that? I am with my army, with my soldiers and I am a cool youngster if 21st century: Kangana Ranaut

Whatever the reason may be but the lady speaks her mind. She must be knowing that being right leaning is not going to help her in Bollywood but she still went on.
Otherwise she could have said something like intolerance is on rise or there is no FOE making more headlines and becoming the darling of media.

But she doesn't seem to give a damn.

She has played the victim card, outsider card, hrithik card, liberal card. Now time to play the nationalist card... 😛

All these right leaning people shut just cut the crap and grow up. NO ONE IS AGAINST STANDING UP FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!! We have been doign it from first standard in school. The discussion and debate is over forcefully playing national anthem in a movie theatre, a place where you go to watch a movie and there's nothing patriotic about it. It is about the forced patriotism that people are talking about, no one is ashamed to stand up for the anthem when it's played at a place that has a proper decorum in place that respects the importance of the country's national anthem!

HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND??!! 😕

I am American and no one in America is forced to stand up for the national anthem. In my school when they played the "Pledge of Allegiance" some kids would stand up and some would not. No one was forced. I agree with your argument.

MTE! Have even heard of cases where disabled man was beaten up in a theatre for not standing up during the anthem 🤢 And in America there is no such rule of compulsory playing the anthem at theatres, the comparison is not even relevant.
