yes the year counts like 1989- july to May 1990.

so batch is of 10th 1989

phir 11 from July 1990 to May 1991.

1989 was the last year when I topped can not mean the batch of 89 was the last batch I topped by any language, but having no other options let's accept it

However in this case 1990 ki February when supposedly Samaina met becomes completely wrong as in February 1990 Naina was still in class 10. They met in June of 1990

I agree.They met in June/July 1990. I said the same thing in opening post of this thread.
