Different shades of the characters of Prithvi Vallabh

Phewww!! I finally finished all the aired episodes.

Prithvi's truly a Gentleman. He is LOVE!!! I truly admire his thought process and personality, how he did not allow petty emotions to overpower him and his sense of right and wrong. Even after seeing his dearest father getting attacked, he had the character strength to see everything from Minal's POV and not get himself blinded by revenge.

But still sometimes a king truly needs to think like a Diplomat, otherwise His Subjects suffer. Although I admire Prithvi's humanity, but he truly needs to deal with his enemies like a politician. This was the first thing that came in my mind when Mrinal attacked Malwa again, after Malwa freed Tailap. Prithvi's handling Mahakai like a perfect Rajnitigya, in the same way sometimes it's necessary to handle all your enemies with diplomacy.

Kosha is Meh!!! I can't exactly pinpoint why I dislike her so much, coz she has done nothing wrong till now, but she gives me the vibes Saanjh gave me in Beyhadh, although she was white washed till the end of that show.

And Tailap is another Arjun & Baldev, playing with the emotions of 2 women at the same time. But I think over here they will not white wash Tailap's faults, just like Creatives whitewashed Arjun & BD, by turning one of the women completely Evil.

BTW did anyone over here felt, Mrinal's revealing each & every informations about her spies to a complete stranger (Dharti is a stranger in her POV) a bit strange. I mean, from her earlier character picturization it looks like she's a good Rajnitigya, but her reveling everything Abt the spies of Manyakhet was a truly bad move. What if it was somebody else in the place of Prithvi, then he/she would have surely backstabbed her. I felt she risked the life of her spies and the safety of Manyakhet with this move .

Minal's fear on seeing those scorpions, showcased another human shade of her. I mean she's no Goddess to never have her own weak and vulnerable points, I am glad Cvs showed her falling weak.

Overall till now the show is brilliant, with minute detailing of each and every characters.

P.S. Want to write more, but am a bit busy right now.

Hey!
Good analysis! 👏

Agreed. PV's character is indeed admirable, his sense of justice, humanity and values...

as a king he may not be perfect, but as a human being, he is close to one! 👍🏼

As for kosha, yeah idk whats the deal about her but she bores most of us...although i cant compare her to saanjh from beyhadh (she was 🤢) At least kosha is good to look at 😆

As for tailab, yeah he really needs to choose now, he cant keep juggling 2 women forever. 😳

Love your analysis!! 👏BTW are you sure you are not Shruthi Di aka Shruthiravi?? 😆
Your analysis gave me the same vibes which I get from her write ups.😳Its precise and to the point with a clarity of perspective.

Now coming to the topic I believe he deals with Mrinal differently coz of the promise which he made to his father. He is determined to end the enmity between Malwa and Manyakhet. But slowly as he is getting to know Mrinal he is finding himself to be drawn to her and subconsciously he has made it his aim to finish the hatred which resides within her and teach her how to be happy. For him it is a battle between himself and Mrinal's hatred.

Now coming to Tailap and Kosha,Kosha clearly doesn't have any trait which will make us like her.She comes across as a self absorbed woman who wishes to project herself as the good person in front of the world. She knows that nothing will hurt Jakkala more than her presence yet she keeps on imposing herself. She knows Tailap can never give her the respect which any woman desires yet she clinges on to him and justifies it as love. This character doesn't have an ounce of self respect.

She does have similarities with Saanjh in this matter.First of all both the ladies don't have any self esteem.Despite being treated like trash they keep on hanging on to the men under the pretext of love.
This makes both of them look pathetic.

About Tailap, well, that guy surely comes in the league of Arjun and BD.He doesn't know what he wants in life.He believes he has a 'right' to maintain multiple relationships coz he is a king afterall.Well even if kings were involved in several affairs with other ladies in those days they had their priorities clear. No matter what happens the position of a queen and a wife was more important than anyone else and they didn't disrespect their wives nor ignore them.
Tailap neglected and ignored Jakkala to such an extent that she felt wretched and uncared for.
Another thing is that Tailap feels as if he is the victim whereas he doesn't realise that he is more of a victimiser.

P.S.I am a huge YKS and Asfiya lover too

Interesting analysis

PV does deal intelligently with his enemies to an extent
He released Tailap but in return demanded for money to be utilized in redeveloping the parts of Malwa that were destroyed by Malwa..and as compensation for families who lost their loved ones in the attack .it was a clever move

Then he allowed his father to visit Mrinal alone and there of course he did made a mistake like his mom pointed out

Now he is savin Mrinal coz he wants to fulfil his dad's wish..so he is looking at a bigger picture here...as we know he believe in peace and the fact that development and culture is what is required for a kingdom to flourish and not wars...he believes in defending and not attacking but he also gives a befitting reply to his enemies like he did when he killed the Africans

But yes he needs to be a little more careful though..like he is trusting Sindhu too much...Kallari was right in pointing out that enemy can reside in your home as well.

Coming to Kosha and Tailap...I think makers are doing a good job in not glorifying their relation like in many movies and neither they are demeaning it..they have not made one a hero and other a villain..like u have given examples of shows here where we saw one of the women was turned negative while others were white washed..so far makers have shown a reality...How it used to be in those times when polygamy was a norm and divorce was not there...how 3 characters who are complex, flawed and grey are caught in a web of circumstances and what they experience..they have shown point of view of all 3 and left it for the viewers to perceive it as per their views ...they are showing human as well as dark side of these characters.

Kosha is a flawed character..she is in love with a married man...she is selfish for being in love with Tailap as she doesn't think about it's consequences and it's effects on others..she knows Jhakkala is Tailap's wife and yet she is in love...she is naive..she doesn't understand the ways of the society. She is a girl who has lived all her life in a brothel and fell in love with the king..She has desires , she is selfish and yet there she is also a human at the end of the day

For instance - they prepared ointment for Jhakkala and wanted to give it to her and she acknowledged if Jhakkala insulted her then she doesn't mind it as she is aware of the fact that Jhakkala is Tailap's wife...here I don't think she deliberately wanted to rub it in Jhakkala's face or try prove anything ...she genuinely wanted to give her the ointment but forgot that the wound Jhakkala got was due to her only and obviously this gesture backfired.

For some this scene showed Kosha in a negative light but for that was a very interesting scene for me coz it brought out the human and naive side of an otherwise selfish Kosha. .she is annoying to me cos her dialogues are repetitive and always about love and she talks in a sing song poetic way 😆

Tailap is obviously a man who is indecisive...he loves Kosha but Jhakkala is his responsibility...he Can't make a choice between the two...he Can't marry Kosha for obvious reasons and Can't leave Jhakkala again coz of obvious reasons..he is stuck !

He is selfish for being in love wit Kosha

We saw his dark side whrn he tried to justify his affair. When he didn't bother about Jhakkala..having an affair itself shows his dark side and then we saw his human side when he showed concern and care for Jhakkala
.I wanted Jhakkala and Tailap to find their way back to each other...to eventually be there for each other..to rediscover love in their marriage but chances look very slim now.

If we see Jhakkala- we see her pain..her angst..she has every right to be angry..she has every right to ask for what it her's..her right of a wife..we have seen a vulnerable side of her and at the same side we have seen a dark side of her as well when she didn't bother how innocent women died in the fire and when she put the entire blame on Mrinal for the incident

You are correct makers will not white wash any one oof them be it Tailap or Kosha or even Jhakkala for that matter..they are grey characters, flawed and they commit mistakes..their flaws is what makes them human and I am glad that writers are doing such a fab job by writing such complex, flawed and real characters and showing spade a spade for a change.

I like how makers show human side of these characters and their dark side as well ..although I am pretty sure we will see darker shades of Kosha and Tailap..not sure about Jhakkala though.

Not gonna compare these characters with characters of other shows as now there is no point in discussing about them... Beyhadh was a completely different show with a different concept , set in today's times as opposed to PV and the characters might have similarities yet they are very different..one thing common between Sanjh and Kosha is that both are annoying.😆.rest not gonna go further would avoid discussing about them here.😊

I wanted Jhakkala and Tailap to find their way back to each other...to eventually be there for each other..to rediscover love in their marriage but chances look very slim now.😭

I am trying to view the whole thing from an open mind...without being too judgemental 😃

Coming to Mrinal

The odd thing was she didn't recognis Prithvi..even with the synonym name😆 but I guess for romance to happen such cinematic liberty had to be taken

and yes it was a little careless for her to inform Dharti about the hideouts of her spies but then maybe she saw that as her only chance of escape

The first time I saw the scene where she jumps in fear and hugs Dharti as she got scared I found it a bit out of character but then others have given valid points in her defence 😆

Mrinal's journey is to understand that eye for an eye will turn whole world blind..she will learn about PV's ideology...she will soften as the story will progress..she will become more emphatic.

But I won't mind her saving PV's life at some point..I would love a balanced Mrinal..A warrior princess who knows how to fight and give it back to the enemies but at the same time knows how to love, laugh and live just like PV

😃

P.s. - pheww that was long 😆

True!!!Prithvi the King may need to learn more, but Prithvi the Human is almost Perfect

Lol True, I agree Kosha is atleast much better than Saanjh😆

But her poetic description of everything is truly annoying and also, like many pointed out, her 1000 ways of describing how she could lay down her life for Tailap is OTT🤢
As for tailab, yeah he really needs to choose now, he cant keep juggling 2 women forever. 😳
The only good thing that I like about Tailap is his respect and love for Mrinal, otherwise he is a damn weak man, but I have noticed that whenever Mrinal takes decisions without properly informing him, he looks quite unhappy, as if his ego is hurt

Glad reading your POV😃

Lol😆 No I am not Shruti Di, but yes I am also a huge fan of hers since Siya ke Ram days, like many others over here

Exactly Prithvi's battle with Mrinal's hatred is definitely a treat to watch😉 And now I felt in the last episode, Mrinal also is slowly drawn towards Prithvi, her expression was not stern When she heard Prithvi & Van Amma's convo😳

+1 to whatever you have written Abt Kosha,Tailap & Jakkala
Despite being the main culprit behind this entire chaos, Tailap thinks of himself as a victim🤢

Inspite of her being slightly grey, I can relate with Jakkala more , than this whitewashed Kosha.

P.S Same Pinch😳 Although I love Daniyal the most in YKS

But yeah that does hurt his ego...its like ur the king but u cant take any decision without the permission of ur sister...that belittles a king right? the subjects of the kingdom gossip, his kingship is questioned...so yeah, that must be bothering him deep down.

Loved the analysis you made dear ... I truly agree to what you said about Prithvi he is a mixture of good emotions ... As a king he is a diplomat when he asks for money to release Tailap and a great Human Being when even in anger he controls himself and sees every thing from Mrinal side he even says that enmity and hatred can only give birth to disaster and pain and Love can only conquer even deepest of Hatred
Mrinal too is great Rajniteegiya I have seen here people saying that she did wrong by telling about her spies in Malwa but I think she didn't had an option she is a prisoner of a decoit who needs money to release her and if she hadn't done this her details will be revealed to Prithvi which is already a threat to her so she had to take a risk she is not weak but now going situationally as she is trapped but I fear knowing the reality what she would do

Jakkala Tailap and Koosha are not strict idealistic like Prithvi and Mrinal but are weak in terms of controlling themselves and are over emotional ... This emotional weakness is causing the situation which they are struck into ... All three realize their mistakes but blame each other ... Koosha specific at times act like a door MST for Tailap and that's what annoys me I don't know about others but that's my POV

Keep sharing your thoughts 😊

Wow!!! You have minutely and precisely described each and every characters present in the show.

PV is a good diplomat, he just needs more experience to handle all the politics more maturely.

You have amazingly explained the love triangle of J-T-K. I still can't conclude Abt Kosha, whether she's good or grey or purely Evil, perhaps I will need a few more episodes to reach into a proper conclusion. But 1 thing I can tell about her, she looks too good to be true, and her 1000 ways of describing how she can lay down her life for Tailap is purely irritating

The only thing I can say about Tailap is he's extremely self-centered and egoistic. Just like Shruthiravi had said in one of her post, Kosha satisfies his wounded ego, which is hurt again and again by Jakkala's Mahatvakanksha and Mrinal's Pratishodh.

Jakkala although looks like a selfish and ambitious Lady, but her pain can be felt. She's another person of Manyakhet whom nobody values, leave Mrinal who took the decision of her own son's marriage without her permission, even Tailap, her own husband, doesn't value her. She's just a namesake queen of Manyakhet.

Now coming to Mrinal, yes, it was quite odd that she didn't recognize PV, coz the mask didn't even properly hid his face. And regarding the spies didn't she plan some second alternative before attacking Malwa, for this kind of emergencies, so that the info abt the spies also remain secret and she could also be secretly rescued. But I guess we need to ignore these minor loopholes of this otherwise brilliant show.

And finally I am also eagerly waiting for the day when Mrinal will save Prithvi's life.

P.S. Loved reading your POV, eagerly waiting to read more about your opinions.
P.S. II Sorry for this late reply.
