Where is the story headed?

I thought I was watching a good old fashioned murder mystery. But in the last few days the story has moved from mystery to mysticism. Instead of a few dead bodies, a hero and heroine solving the crimes and an imbecilic police force( that bit is still there- I wouldn't put Yaspal in charge of the office stationary, forget making him take charge of the investigation), we now have tantriks, mantriks and flying shiv lings. Not to mention a mysterious messenger from God- why? Wasn't that Sambhu Baba's role?
The hero seems to have lost the power to think, The heroine is no better.
And where are all the regulars? A lot of new people all of a sudden.

The show has gone to the dogs-- But Atleast they are cute

I would have loved if the show had gone to dogs instead of Tantriks.
The show promised us a fusion of faith and science. Now the current track is only justifying superstitions in the name of thriller. Its simply proving anyone can go powerful even against the wish of the God. In Hinduism however its very much clear that one who misuses the powers granted by the Trishakti will die. The best example I can remember right now is of Holika. Instead of showing how Gauridi punished the children of the village they could show her curse had backfired and she died there. Why should people have faith in God, pray him and feel safe under him otherwise? Also,Wasn't KB the original protector of the shivlings? That finger ring is stopping him from guarding the shivlings? More importantly why does KB need to have a dog squad, a Baba and good for nothing devotee like Gauri when one Tantrik could have easily guarded the shivlings? KB is behaving like a Govt servant. He was in the temple to guard the shivlings only and has left the temple as Shivlings have been stolen. Now its everyone's duty to get the shivlings back so that he can resume his duty of protecting the shivlings. Other wise he wont do anything.

KB is definitely helping Namrata. Right when she would have been exposed Lakhan Pal calls her. Like why? Why do we have to bear a psycho winning without anyone noticing her weird behavior. Is it this easy to fool every one at the same time? How clever is she? How brilliant are her plans?
