He is a big star with no flops. He most likely could have played Khiliji better than Ranveer.

Padamvat would have been a mega blockbuster.

Please someone inform SLB.

Now don't bring Varun can't act and blah blah. Varun had grey shade role in Badlapur which required variations from even raping in a scene. I'm sure SLB would've got best outta Varun.

The dude cannot do this role nor has he proven he can act to this caliber. This is not one of his strengths. His formula works for him, let him stick with that. Nothing wrong with that.

Unless you have doubt is Ranveer"s credibility and think Varun could do a better job than him,why not?

I dislike SLB'S sadistic-ness and this annoying promotion method to earn money but he can surely get the best out of his actors like any good director would be able to.,so I am sure fans would love to see him working with SLB if right project comes along..

In all seriousness I fail to understand that what really was oh so difficult & challenging in the SLB's version of ultra mild Khilji?? Matlab mainly buffoonery & clowngiri dikhai, there was barely any ruthlessness I mean true blue brutality to justify the ultimate villain hype.

Not really comparing the performances as its perspective & since Badlapur was just his 4th Film, but Varun as Raghu did way more vicious stuff be it all the graphic rape & molestation scenes or cold blooded murders with hammer. It was an A-Rated film for a reason😆

So yeah u never know it could have been a Bigger blockbuster with Varun as Khilji, the guy can act and also knows how to do Kood-Faandh like in Khalibali song😆
