R eshmi Ghosh, who plays Bhoomi in Kyunkii.. Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, finds the change in track on the show bizarre. Recent episodes show the multi-millionaire Viranis on the streets.. they have been forced to move into a chawl. "People just can't understand how such a rich family can turn into paupers almost overnight. And are they uneducated that they can't even get jobs?" Ghosh asks. She's bemused with the Karan-Nandini track too. "I wonder how the creative team can think of getting them married at this age," she laughs. Meanwhile, her tryst with bizarre storylines continues with her 9X show Kahe Naa Kahe. The lead character in the show gets preg- nant after artificial insemination and she doesn't even know it. Doesn't she find all this crazy? "I probably would if I weren't a part of the industry," she grins. "But twists and turns are a staple diet of TV soaps. All I can do is carry out my part convincingly."
